We did a tune up on his bike, also gave this bike test ride checking operations after repairs, then day, after pick up the lady called & said she had a wreck and the handle bars had burned on her, she asked what we was going to do, was asked to bring the bike in & we would check it out to figure out what may have happened & she started screaming on the phone & we could not calm her down, so yes we hang up the phone, she called back she called back & started screaming again, she was told once again to bring the bike in so we could check it, she hang up, she called later her husband was leaving work to bringing in the bike, then she called and said she was going out of town and her husband would bring the bike in on Saturday which he did the handle bars was moved from impact as the husband was shown the bars was tight & would not move by twisting when, then she said brake didn't work, rear brake was loose which could only happen if seat post was lowered for adjustment for rider as on this bike has a holder for outer cable which moves if post is raised or lowered for rider, brake would have not worked on test ride and brake lever would been against the grip which could have not been missed brake would not worked during test ride & would been seen husband left bike to be checked over, he was very pleasant, we was checking bike over completely, the lady called started saying we were not getting it done quick enough & we should do every thing to please her, she was told we was working checking everything, she said her husband was going to be at the shop at 2:pm and it better be ready, once again her husband was very pleasant as request on Revdex.com she would like to have her tune up price of $refund by check as a jester of good will.thank you [redacted]

Review: They seemed nice initially when we dropped off the bike. On my first ride out, I decided to bike to the gym and then to pick up a skein of yarn. On the ride back, I tried to stop my bike using only the right side (rear) break. I know it was working the last time I rode the bike - before the tune up - but didn't notice it until about 2 miles into the ride because I usually brake with both hands. I ran into a bush, after overcorrecting for almost running into traffic. A little later in the ride, when I was angling to go up a curb ramp, I notice when I straightened out that the handle bars were tilted to the right at about a 15 degree angle.I called the shop and was (understandably) upset. I asked the owner, [redacted], if he realized that if anything had happened to me, that he would be liable for negligence. He acknowledged. The owner hung up on me. I called back asking to speak to the owner, and it was at this time that he stated he was, which I did not know prior. I asked him if he could understand why I was upset. He stated "You're okay," as if to calm me down. It was awful that the owner of a shop who failed to perform their job responsibly was auyomatically judging whether or not I was okay, when I now have scrapes and bruises all over as a result, which I informed him of. I again mentioned negligence, to which he replied this time, "I don't know what happened yet and I can't find out over the phone."Complete rip off of $70 tune up. Don't risk your safety and waste your money by going there.Desired Settlement: $70 refund of tune-up cost so I can bring the bike elsewhere with a better reputation and more concern for the safety of their customers. I do not trust this bike shop with my safety, as I have already sustained injuries (scratches and bruises on legs and stomach).
