Review: I ordered furniture on OCT 5, paying a $300 deposit. It has not been delivered and my calls are not returned. Doors were locked when I stopped by.

On Oct 5 I ordered the following furniture. It is all Coaster brand furniture. The order as written on my receipt is: Qty 2 cherry wood twin beds, #XXXXXXT; Qty 1 nightstand #XXXXXX; Qty 1 chest #XXXXXX; Qty 1 5-piece table set #4297; Qty 4 dining chairs #4358. The bedroom furniture was $677 and the dining room furniture $277, for a subtotal of $998, plus tax of $79 and delivery of $40, for a total of $1,117. I gave him a $300 check deposit with a COD balance due of $817. I mentioned that the sales tax was not calculated correctly, but he said he was just "giving me a break." I have since checked the Coaster website and discovered that two of the order codes were wrong: the twin bed code should be #XXXXXXT and the dining room table code should be #4267.

As I said, the order was placed on Sat. Oct 5. Delivery was promised for Wed., Oct 9. On Wed he ([redacted]) called and said the furniture was not on the Wed truck and it would be on the Fri truck. We arranged delivery for Sat, Oct 12. There was no word from him on Sat, or since then. I have called many times and stopped by the business once. No calls are returned although he must be picking messages up as the mailbox is not full. There was no one at the store and the door was locked when I was there even though it was during posted business hours. The phone number I have for [redacted] is XXX-XXX-XXXX.Desired Settlement: I would like my $300 back or I will settle for the dining room table and chairs. I no longer want the bedroom furniture as I have had to purchase other furniture.

After another attenpt at a delivery with no result, I was offered a refund. I picked up $300 in cash which was left for me in a sprinkler valve utility box outside the door of the business. Odd, but effective.

So, having received my refund my complaint has been resolved. Thank you for your help. I know it was due to your involvement that I was given a refund.

Review: On August 31st 2013 my husband and I purchased a sectional a sectional couch from Elk Grove Furniture Warehouse. At the store we noticed at the time of that there was a little pin hole from a sliver of wood in the couch. We asked if the owner could discount it at all. [redacted] the owner said he would take off $100.00 or give us the ottoman that goes the couch since he charges $100.00 for it.We decided to except the offer of the ottoman.A delivery date was set up for Monday

September 2,2013-At the time of delivery we noticed a about 6 inches long towards the

bottom of the couch. The delivery guy took a picture of it and sent it to [redacted]. I spoke with [redacted] on the phone and he told me that the manufacturer would come out and stitch the rip.After [redacted] spoke with the manufacturer he contacted us and stated the couch would be covered and that they would replace that one portion of the sectional.[redacted] has set up three delivery appointments with us to deliver the new sectional, the ottoman, the pillow that would replace the one that is clearly not hte corerct size and a desk that we had ordered after the initail time of purchase. He has no showed, no called twice. The last date he set upon October 14, 2013 he called my husband 30 minutes before the end fo his window time and told him that the manufacturer didn't even have our replacement piece adn that it wouldn't be in until Friday October 19, 2013. We since have tried calling, texting and leaving messages and he wil no longer respond to our messages or call us back.

aDesired Settlement: We would like our replacement of the sectional with the pillow and ottoman. Or we would like our $1,000.00 dollars back and we will go somewhere else where we can get better service.

recieved an american custom made sectional. she had a tear in the couch. due to the fact these are all custom american made sectionals, we had to wait for the material to come in to the manufacture. they were discounted 100 dollars on the couch because of a small tear that we saw before they made the purchase, it was the last set that we had available. We have contacted them and offered a 1000 dollar refund and we will pick up the couch. they prefered to have it replaced, which will be done this week due to the fact the manufacturer has recieved the material.
