I received a notice from a home builder to go and check out Mr & Mrs [redacted] home at [redacted] [redacted]
I went and looked at the veneer and seen that there was about five stones that had hairline cracks in them that is do from settlement and
not a warranty...
issue. The Builder asked that they be switched out to make them happy, so the repair was completed upon the review of
[redacted]-(homeowner). Before we left I asked [redacted] to make sure that no water was to be applied to the stone veneer for 24 hours for
curing purposes.
About a week went by and [redacted] Called and said that his wife was not happy with the repair and wanted to know when I would be able to go
there and see what the issues where. I told him that I was scheduled to be down there in about a week to do another home for the builder.
A few days had passed 09/9/2014 and [redacted] called me on my cell phone and was not a happy camper that I had not made it to fix her stone and said
she was turning me into the Revdex.com.
On 09/11/2014 I called and left a message on her cell phone to return my call (No response)
On 09/13/2014-Saturday I showed up at the [redacted]'s residence and [redacted] Her husband was present and showed me the concerned area's and I agreed
that they needed repair do to what looked like to me that water had been applied to stone, so the stone was removed and reapplied.
Review: Elk Grove Masonry & Design, Inc is a sub-contractor to the builder that built my house. They came to make some repairs to the stone veneer in front to the house and did a horrible job. The stone veneers are crooked, sticking far out and missing some mortar between the stones. I wanted them to come back to fix it but they wouldn't give me a time or day and commit to coming out. [redacted], the owner exact words are "I'm not going to make a special trip to your house to fix a few stones." Wow, great customer service [redacted]! I surely will NOT recommend you to anyone. Social media is a great tool to spread the words and I know how to use them and pictures don't lie! Too bad I can't upload them on here.Desired Settlement: They need to come out to fix the poor job that they did.
