Therefore pushing my lines tothe outside of the wall instead of being protected from the weather on the inside wall which is where Ihad them. The complaint also states that the home owner tried to contact me and couldn’t get a hold of me. Thiswas false. The home owner never contacted me until weeks after the incident they claim to be myresponsibility. They contacted ** to come repair the line on December 19, 2016. The first call I got wason January 6, 2017 from the home owner and they demanded that I pay an invoice for $670 to **. Thegeneral contractor did not receive a call regarding this repair nor did they call to get my informationfrom the general contractor. In closing, I feel that this claim is unjustified and the home owner should be contacting the designer oftheir home or the insulation subcontractor to be reimbursed.Sincerely,Les G[redacted]OwnerElkhorn Heating & Cooling, Inc.

I spoke with the inspector from McCall and the house did not ever have a final plumbing and HVAC inspection, so he could not say if the condensate line was installed per code.
We called Fred L[redacted], our general contractor, the day we found our furnace was not working. He did not get back to us in a timely manner, so we had no choice but to call someone to make the repair to prevent further damange to our home (ie pipes freezing). Trying to get Les's information on our own was impossible. We never knew his name and he change his business name. Also, he does not publish any contact information.
As you can see by the attached letter from **, it is not standard practice in Valley County, a cold climate, to put the condensate line in the wall.
Les works in Ada County, so apparently did not know the install norms when he took the job in Valley County. His lack of knowledge should not cost us money.
