The customer purchased a Gingerbread house decorating class for and asked if she could use a credit cardOne of my employees took the order and signed her up for the classThe class information both on our website and in the store states that only credit would be given if cancelled.*due to the
perishable nature of our product all orders and classes are non-refundable and are only eligible for in-store credit.The customer then called a day prior and cancelled the class due to her daughter having to workShe DID NOT ask for a credit or refund at that time.The customer called a week later and wanted credit for her classWe explained our policy and offered a gift certificate, another class or the complete gingerbread house kit all of which she was not happy withShe wanted her money back. She then when on multiple media sites and complained about our companyOur staff responded to her complaints with offering a credit, product or another class.On January 25th I received an email from the customer stating she would like the gift certificate option after allSo I sent it right outOn February 2nd I received an email from the customer stating she did not receive the gift certificate and would like another one emailed to herI emailed a copy of the certificate on the 3rd of February.I just received a chargeback from my merchant account *** *** of They stated it was a dispute from *** *** On January 22ndso not only am I out the cost of the product, staff and overhead to make the product but I'm also out the original charge and possibly gift certificates worth eachAfter getting my mail which was on hold because we are a seasonal business, I found this complaint for the Revdex.comI am discouraged that there are customers out there that would do this to small businesses trying to get byThis is the reason why small businesses have so trouble making it....because of customers like *** ***.Thanks for the opportunity to respond to this madness
