We have received and reviewed the complaint from Ms. [redacted] in regards to the [redacted] that was purchased from Ellas Auto Outlet on October 10, 2014. This [redacted] was purchased "as is" and the customer signed more than one document agreeing to the terms of purchase. In reference to the key fob - we gave Ms. [redacted] the only key/key fob that we had - we had no troubles using it while we had the vehicle in our posession, and also had no troubles with the security function locking down the vehicle because of the condition of the key fob. The customer test drove the vehicle before purchase, and there were no complaints or areas of concern addressed to us, other than the rear windshield wiper arm needeing to be replaced. This part was purchased by the dealership, and sent to the customer as promised. As a courtesy to Ms. [redacted], once she had contacted us with her complaints, we offered to buy back the [redacted] from her in the amount of $2500.00 which she declined to do. Again, this vehicle was purchased "as is" and there is nothing further Ellas Auto Outlet Inc. is able to do for the customer.

Please feel free to contact me with any other questions.

We request that this matter not be closed due to the issue not being resolved.  We are not satisfied with their offer.  The car should have never been sold as in good condition for the price that was listed.  To have the car repaired will cost $12,200 and we did not have the car for even 30 days.  Per the dealers website, every car comes with a 3 month/3000 mile warranty.  We have not exceed any of those.  We purchased the car for $7000, it is now in a non working condition, repairs will cost as I stated $12,200, and the dealer Ellas Auto Outlet wants to only offer $2500 to fix the problems dealing with the suspension.  Which by the way he states that he can have someone at his shop fix, that doesn’t make any sense because the car should have never passed inspection based on the stuff that is broke.  This matter has not been resolved by any means.

To whom it may concern:
We have received and reviewed the complaint from customer [redacted] in regards to the [redacted] that was purchased from Ellas Auto Outlet on January 26, 2015. Ms. [redacted] was charged her state taxes, title fee and registration fee here at the dealership, which was included in her loan check from Navy Federal Credit Union that she used to purchase the vehicle.
In order to title and register the vehicle for Ms. [redacted], as well as get her hard copy license plates, she was informed at the time of purchase that we would first need the original Maryland Safety Inspection reciept. We did recieve this document from Ms. [redacted], about two weeks after purchase of the vehicle. Once this form was in our possession, with only two weeks left on her temporary tags, we took all necessary documents and payment to MVA to tag, title and register the [redacted] for Ms. [redacted]. We were informed by the clerk at the MVA that in order for the dealership to complete this process for the customer, she would need to fill out a Power of Attorney form. After a failed attempt to get in touch with Ms. [redacted] to see if she could meet us at the MVA to sign the necessary document, our employee made the drive back to the dealership in Virginia. The customer was later informed that we would be sending the Power of Attorney to her home address for her to sign and date and return back to us as quickly as possible, so that we could again go back to the MVA to tag, title, and register her vehicle.
After the customer's temporary tags had already expired, she then contacted the dealership to let us know that she never received the Power of Attorney, and to see what her options were at that point. We let her know that we could send back her original Maryland Inspection reciept, the original title, as well as a company check written to her for the cost of the taxes, title, and registration fee so that she could personally handle everything with the MVA. We also issued Ms. [redacted] a second set of tags, with the assumption that she would have more than enough time to take the necessary documents to the MVA and register her vehicle. We sent out a certified package to Ms. [redacted] on March 10, 2015 containing all necessary paperwork and fees. Because of a delay with the United States Postal Service, the customer did not recieve this package until March 30, 2015. While we can understand Ms. [redacted] frustration, this delay was not a direct result of anything on the dealership's behalf, and was out of our control - we had everything sent out to the customer in a timely manner, and should not be held responsible for a mistake made by the Postal Service.
Please feel free to contact me with any other questions.

Review: Im writing to Al to let you now that I have reported you to the Revdex.com and have reached out to an attorney. I purchased the

[redacted] and after only having the truck for a week had to put it in the shop for 350.00 dollars worth of repairs. That's not including the other repairs that needs to be done. And now I have two estimates for breaks one from E&M Foreign Car Repair and One from [redacted] totaling 750 for one and 1050 for the other. I have my deposit slip stating that the breaks would be repaired prior to me picking up my car or I could be refunded my money. I dont like being taken advantage of. I'm expected to pay all this money for repairs and still pay 800 which is not even half of what i'm spending in repairs or what you would spend on making the repairs yourself. And at this point, I dont even trust to bring the car back to you for repairs that was suppose to be taken car of before I even left with the car. My attorney is [redacted] with [redacted]. And I will note that in addition to the breaks that was suppose to be fixed before I picked up the car as per our agreement on my deposit form, The passenger window, the radio and the sun roof is all not functioning properly. That in addition to the starter I had replaced!!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want the balance they are saying I owe to be removed and have my title released to me because the cost of the repairs is more that what I owe and should not have to pay for because our agreement stated that the breaks would be repaired prior to me picking up the car.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] on Saturday March 15th 2014. We paid the agreed upon sales price in cash.ed to have a VA state safety inspection and the rear end differential seal replaced but it would be ready on Monday. We told them that the rear end was making a lot of noise, he assured us that it must be the fluid level because the rear seal was leaking but they would fix it. I called Monday around 11 a.m. to confirm that I could pick up the vehicle. I was put on hold and then got disconnected. My husband called back and he was told by [redacted] that because of snow, there was nobody available to take the vehicle for inspection but they would do it first thing Tuesday. My husband asked twice for them to confirm that it would be ready as he would have to take off work to pick it up. he was assured that it would be ready and to come down to pick it up. My husband called Tuesday morning and was told that there would be no problems, to come in and pick it up. After driving down there Tuesday afternoon my husband and I were told that the vehicle failed the inspection but that it was being worked on and would be ready on Wednesday. On Wednesday my husband was told that all the work had been done but they didn't have anyone available to bring the vehicle in for inspection. As he had taken off work again, we asked if we could pick the [redacted] up and bring it in for inspection ourselves. We were told that was ok and to come get it. My husband asked that they confirm that all work was complete and it would pass inspection, he was assured that everything was in order and we were good to go. We took the [redacted] to a shop in [redacted] and it failed to pass inspection. We also found at that time that the front U joints were in such bad shape that the mechanic recommended that we not drive the vehicle. After 5 trips to the lot, rude and unprofessional conduct by the staff, now the rear end has gone out on the [redacted] while my husband was driving it to get repaired. They still have the vehicle.Desired Settlement: We would like to have the entire cost of the [redacted] ($2,700.00) reimbursed, the cost of out gas ($100.00) reimbursed, the cost for the U joints ($450.00) reimbursed and be compensated ($850.00) for the days off work we have taken to try and resolve this. I encourage you to visit the lot and see this circus firsthand.

Regards,

We request that this matter not be closed due to the issue not being resolved. We are not satisfied with their offer. Per the dealers website, every car comes with a 3 month/3000 mile warranty. We have not exceed any of those. Review: Ellas Auto fraudulently represented condition of the car at the time of sale. I would not have purchased the vehicle if I had known the extent of the problems with the vehicle. These problems were discoverable only to a mechanic or auto re-seller upon inspection of the vehicle prior to sale (diagnostics).

I spoke with [redacted] and registered agent for Ellas Auto Outlet Inc. As of 1/20/15 Ellas Auto Outlet Incorporated is marked as fee delinquent with the [redacted].

He claimed that he knew none of the information regarding the troubles I have had with this vehicle. His office was contacted regarding the battery and key fob discussed below. He did not make a good faith attempt to resolve these issues at any time.

The brake lights were out when leaving the auto dealership...how did this pass state inspection? Bulbs were out.

The day I picked up the car, it would not start. They put a battery in the car before I left the lot. They put the wrong battery in the car. When I went to get back into the vehicle the alarm for the vehicle went off and drained the “new” battery placed in the vehicle by Ellas Auto before leaving the lot.

On arriving home with the vehicle, I was not able to use the key fob to lock the vehicle. The key fob was damaged beyond repair, there were buttons missing and the battery was loose in the unit. The key troubles led to the car's security function locking down the vehicle. After soliciting professional help, I had the battery assessed at [redacted] and was told the battery in the vehicle was not the correct battery for the make and model of [redacted]. The battery information on the battery had been obscured so there was no way to tell the age of the battery. Subsequently I have had to purchase a new battery ($180.00) and new key fob ($250.00). To enter the [redacted] you must use a key fob to enter the vehicle according to the [redacted] Dealership.

Ellas was contacted. They said they would have the vehicle towed to their facility at my expense. There was no further follow up from Ellas. There was no good faith attempt to make the matter right. Today he suggested that because I purchased the "As Is" it was the way it was. As a consumer however, I am entitled to a good faith disclosure of the condition of the equipment/vehicle as a condition of the purchase.

It took Ellas Auto from 10/30/14-11/8/14 to send me the title for the vehicle. I went to get the emissions tested so I could register the vehicle and failed the emissions test. The diagnostic test concluded that there were transmission problems. A simple diagnostic test from the dealership would have determined this. Ellas did not disclose the condition of this vehicle. The electronic engine control unit is defective which makes the car drive in limp mode. Due to the failed emissions, I was unable to register the vehicle; I have received a driving citation from [redacted] County Police. During the diagnostic test it was found that the car was completely repainted. This part is at minimum over 300$ before labor.

Additionally, Ellas Auto has failed to meet the terms of the contract. The contract states that a rear windshield wiper arm was owed to me within 15 days of insurance. As of 1/30/15 I have yet to receive the part. Upon calling them today 1/30/2015 they claimed they shipped it out with the title and told me to go ahead and sue them cause I would look stupid for finding that loophole in the contract in front of a judge. I told him that we would be in touch with regard to the arm. I asked that he provide proof of shipping and he could not..."Well we sent it with the title". I said that he should send it return receipt requested and he asked why he would mess with all of that and suggested that I go ahead and sue him again.

I asked for them to void my contract and return the vehicle. I offered to pay for the 559 miles that I have driven since the purchase and they told me that this was "not going to happen". I told them that I would be filing a grievance with the Dealer Board, the Revdex.com and the Consumer Affairs office of the Commonwealth. He told me do whatever you want.

Millage on the date of sale 10/30/2014- 160498

Current millage 1/30/2015- 161177

I live in Northern Virginia with an unregistered vehicle that is impassable in the emissions test. I have owned this vehicle for 4 months and have driven less than 700 miles.

This sale was made in bad faith; without full disclosure. I have offered resolution to Ellas without favorable response. I would ask that you investigate the business dealings of this dealership. The Cars.Com consumer reviews of Ellas auto suggests that I am not their only damaged party. The Revdex.com.org consumer complaint summary shows 30 complaints with Ellas Auto in the last 3 years, 7 within the last 12 months.

Many thanks for your attention in this regard.

cc: [redacted]Desired Settlement: contract voided , refund of monies paid less credit for mileage at IRS rate (2015/57.5/mile)

Review: I purchased a [redacted] on 2/14/2014 only a few short months later on 5/7/2014 the car was not working. After I had purchased the vehicle I had found the original inspection which had failed through Ellas Auto Outlet stating various things wrong with the vehicle in including the suspension was bad. But the were able to get it to pass prior to purchasing it. In May when the vehicle stopped working the timing chain had broke and the gaskets had blown, the vehicle had never even been cleaned by Ellas Auto Outlet. Now I have been out of a vehicle for over three months now and been paying for auto insurance for a vehicle I can not drive and will cost thousands of dollars to repair which we do not have. I feel they knew there were issues with the vehicle and never told us they stated the vehicle was in perfect running condition. I only live a few short miles away from the lot and I am a stay at home mom so its not like I ran this vehicle into the ground. I feel the failed inspection they left in the center console is proof enough that we were sold a lemon.Desired Settlement: I would be more than willing to give the vehicle back to Ellas Auto Outlet so that I may get a refund to get another vehicle. We paid $3500 for this vehicle only to have to put about $1000 into in just a few short months.

Regards,

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Ella's Auto Outlet on 1/26/2015 I had my own financing with blank check in tow. I paid the interest on the vehicle, tags and titling directly to Ella's under the assumption that they would go to [redacted] and mail me the hard tags. I got the state inspection within the first week of the vehicle being in my possession and sent the original inspection certificate to Ella's. A couple of days before the 30 day temp tags expired I called them and they informed me that they needed a power of attorney and would mail one to my home address- I never received it. They had to issue a 2nd 30 day temp tag that I had to receive via email (which prints on regular paper) due to the lack of planning on Ella's end. Due to the confusion and lack of communication, I requested to have the information mailed back to me so that I could go to MVA myself not to mention I still needed the 30 day temp tags on the special paper so that I could actually attach them to the vehicle. I asked that the package was overnighted due to my inconvenience and the time sensitive matter and I was told that it would have been, however it was not. It is March 23 and I still have nothing from them. The car's 2nd issue temp tags are going to expire and I cannot get a straight answer about how they will fix this. I have been given a tracking number for a package that was sent its delivery has been delayed but it was sent certified mail and not overnight. The owner said that he can see about getting a duplicate title but it will take 6-8 weeks and it is not his fault that the mail has not delivered the package. The package contained the origin title, state inspection, temporary tags and check for MD taxes, title and registration that I paid at the time I purchased the car.Desired Settlement: I want them to compensate me for the money I paid for services not rendered. I want the extra key to the vehicle that I purchased and was never given and then told that the key didn't belong to me and I should be glad that they were honest about the car having a second key because most used cars don't come with a spare key. I would like a duplicate title sent to me as soon as possible. My finance company [redacted]'s contract expresses that the dealer is responsible for providing the title to the lien holder within 90 days or it an affect my APR. I need this matter resolved ASAP.

ELLAS AUTO OUTLET INC.

Review: My wife and I purchased a [redacted] from Ella's Auto Outlet on 08/18/2014. We took the vehicle to our local [redacted] dealership to get it checked out because the air conditioner wasn't getting cool, the check engine light was on and the gear shifter was hard to move. They advised us the car needed a new transmission, new catalytic converter, new air conditioning condenser, new front brake pads, 4 new tires and alignment. The [redacted] dealership asked us if we purchased a warranty with the vehicle and we stated that we had. They contacted the warranty company to try and start a claim on our behalf but we received a call from the warranty company and after a short interview they advised us none of the repairs would be covered since all of these problems existed before we purchased the vehicle. We contacted Ella's Auto Outlet and spoke to the General Manager, [redacted], about the findings of the [redacted] dealership. He stated that "you never take a used car to the dealership because they will always give you a laundry list of problems". He asked us to fax him a copy of the service report from the [redacted] dealership which we did. Upon speaking to ** again he stated that there should be more car codes than the one that was on the service report from the [redacted] dealership if there were so many problems and that we should take the vehicle to [redacted] or [redacted] to get all the car codes. We did this and when we gave this information to ** he stated that he would have to contact his local [redacted] dealership to find out what the codes mean. When finally talking with ** again he didn't say what the codes meant but asked what the transmission was doing so I described the symptoms and he advised that he could send us a product when he mailed us the title which should take care of the problem. I asked him why he hadn't mailed the title already since he had previously stated weeks earlier that he had done so. He stated that he hadn't done so because he wasn't sure if we wanted to trade the car in. I stated I didn't know I had that option. After speaking with my wife that evening we thought that would be a good idea to try and trade the car in. I called Ella's Auto for the next two days to speak with ** about possibly trading the car in but I wasn't able to speak with him. We drove to the dealership that Saturday to speak with ** in person but the employees stated he was out of town. When we told them we were there to try and trade the car in they called ** and they said he told them we couldn't trade it in because he had already processed the title and had already filed a claim with the warranty company to get the car fixed. We asked where should we take it for the repairs and they said to call back on Monday so ** can give us the address of the repair shop. When we called back Monday ** stated he hadn't filed a claim but stated he had told his employees that he would give us the address of a repair shop in our area who would work with the warranty company to start a claim. He gave us a name and address but when we went to the repair shop they stated they don't work with any warranty companies and don't even work on transmissions.Desired Settlement: We would like to get the car fixed and would like the warranty company to pay for the repairs.

Review: I purchased a car. The wheel makes a noise and they claim it was nothing wrong with it. And they got me new tires and they are no good. I cant use them. The rim is crack on one.Desired Settlement: I want them to get me some better tires.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] 3.2 Type-S car from Ellas Auto Outlet. I was assured the car ran smooth, had no mechanical issues and that they even provided a warranty to cover any issues. I specifically asked about major issues: engine, transmission replacement; it was supposed to be covered. No less than a half tank of gas and 5 days later did the car die on me, only to find out the transmission needs replacing. Now they won't answer my calls, ignore my cries for help and deny any knowledge of the car's problems. The warranty is a joke too, it doesn't cover any issues included replacing a transmission, that they had specifically sold me on in the event of failure. Now I am out all the money I had, with no functioning vehicle. The car was even sporting a broken rear view mirror when they sold it to me, even though it somehow passed state inspection, promising me that they would call [redacted] and get a new one. I have yet to even be told if one is coming or not and since the car is a LEMON they won't even answer my calls. And if I do use a different number they don't know, their boss is always away or busy. There is no honor in this. There are several reports online stating similar cases, even specifically about transmission and the warranties sold "covering" them. I am extremely displeased and disheartened as an honest person to have been dealt with like this. This is no way to conduct better business and I don't believe there are enough characters in this complaint description to describe this abhorrent nature. I am a paying customer of theirs, they sold me a malfunctioning car that barely made it down the road a couple days, they conduct inspections without any regard of safety as I have yet to be able to see behind me due to a broken mirror. They are deceptive in their dealings and I wouldn't be surprised if [redacted] were in cahoots with them. This is the MOST disgusting dealing I have yet to experience and I am ashamed that my State allows them to conduct "business."Desired Settlement: I would like either my money, in full to the amount of three thousand and five hundred dollars refunded; or if no money can be exchanged I would simply like them to make good on giving me a car in the same price range that will run with no problems that I like. I understand I'm asking a lot but keep in mind I took my business to them with that same intent and that is what I would like to have received.

Review: mY son bought a car it was unsafe to drive we too the car back they gave us a credit but said we needed 500 more to get another car. I wrote a check we drove away in a [redacted] they said they would send title as soon as check cleared never received title I called them they said the check bounced checked with my bank check was never deposited I told them I would pay over phone with credit they would not take payment over phone said only owner could do that I call daily owner will not get on phone. They will not take payment or mail title 30 tags are expired my son can not drive car car has exhaust issues my son got a ticket for defective exhaust the day after we bought the car police said new inspection sticker was fraud because it would not pass inspection this way. We have no title a car we paid 400 for repair of exhaust and no titleDesired Settlement: We need title mailed to use the inspection sticker was fraudulent and repairs cost me 400 plus dollars not to mention the defective exhaust ticket we got. I will pay them the 500 have tried daily to do so I do not belive they have title so if they can not produce title we need full refund not a credit for another bad car but full cash refund

Review: I purchased a [redacted] from Ellas Auto Outlet on August 11, 2014 the car was priced for $4,993.00, when Took it for a test drive the check engine light was on, I told a sales rep. named [redacted] and he said they would fix the problem. They said it was fixed so I took their word and bought it, however when I started the car the check engine light was still on, one of their mechanics looked at it and said its a code that will turn off after about a week of driving so I went home. While driving home I went over a speed bump, the car bottomed out, the bottom of the car scraped on the top of the speed bump, and it did this on almost every speed bump I went over. After a few days the check engine light was still on so I called them and spoke with someone named [redacted] and told her that the check engine light was still on and that the car is scrapping when I go over speed bumps, and they said to take it down. When I took it down they charged me a little over 200 dollars to get it fixed and took a week to fix it, they did fix the check engine light but they did not fix the cars suspension which is the reason it is bottoming out over speed bumps. I then took it to two different car shops to look at it, one called [redacted] in Woodbridge VA said it would be about $4,000 to fix the problem, which was replacing all the struts, tie rods and shocks. The other one, [redacted] in Burke VA said it would be about $1,256 to fix the problem which was replacing all the struts and shocks. Both of the shops said that the car was sold with the problem, [redacted] said it will not pass the safety inspection, and [redacted] said the problems should of been seen by the dealer, and never should of been sold in the condition it is in. After that I tried to call Ellas Auto Outlet Inc. on September 9, 2014 to tell them the problem, however I could not get in contact with a manager until September 15. Al, the manger refused to fix the problem and also refused to give a refund for the car.Desired Settlement: I would prefer if Ellas Auto Outlet Inc. gave me a refund for $4,993.00, or pay one of the shops to fix the problem with the suspension that they refuse to fix.
