Ellers Automotive Reviews (2)

Bought a vehicle at Ellers automotive not even a month later it was broke down he's had his mechanic supposedly working on it for 2 months nowThe vehicle is worse off now than it was. He sold us a lemon. This vehicle was junk. And he's repeatedly lied to me about what the mechanic was doing now the vehicle won't run at all. I demand an exchange or my down payment plus the past 3 months monthly payments backDesired SettlementI want to exchange for a running vehicle or I want the money back on my downpayment plus the monthly payments I made on a vehicle I didn't even get to driveBusiness Response This is an unfortunate situation of a vehicle that was purchased "AS IS" and had a motor problem 3 months after it was purchased. It was running great at the time of purchase so we were surprised to hear of a problem with it. I had my mechanic take a look at it and try to fix it for them for a reasonable price. Once we were able to get the motor apart we discovered that the problem arose from current driver/owner abuse. We were not able to proceed farther with this vehicle after that was determined. We felt it was not a good use of time to fix something that would just be abused and damaged again. I'm glad the customer is enjoying the second vehicle they purchased from me during this period, but unfortunately we are unable to go farther with this one. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The response given is an outright lie. There is no way we could have abused the vehicle because it wasn't even in our possession for the past couple of months. [redacted] mechanic had our vehicle and we have all the text messages back and forth saved where he kept telling us it'll be ready this day or that day. I also have the conversation recorded where he admitted to buying a warranty in my name because he knew the vehicle sounded funny. As far as buying as is, we were told certain things were fixed on that truck and we were lied to. [redacted] even admitted that he had a mechanic that supposedly pocketed money and kept parts and didn't fix what he originally said was fixed. It has been lie after lie and one of the mechanics at the shop that had our truck told my husband [redacted] does this to everyone. I have no problem obtaining an attorney regarding lemon laws and will be glad to have that individual from that shop [redacted] to [redacted] to testify to what he knows about [redacted] as well. Let's also be reminded of how he told my sister in law she wasn't approved for a vehicle and a month later [redacted] is wondering where her payment is. Or we can touch up on how he told credit acceptance of a higher down payment that was made on that "second vehicle" when it was actually less. I was told by someone else who deals with sales that you aren't supposed to lie to the finance places about how much downpayment is given and we have all the texts to support that situation as well. Dishonesty and screwing people over gets you no where. And if you didn't feel like the problems with the truck were your responsibility why did you get the warranty and have your mechanic keep our truck for almost 3 months? To supposedly fix the problem YOU originally lied about fixing? Yes the vehicle was sold "as is" but the "as is" was under the impression certain mechanical problems were fixed BEFOREHAND when they actually weren't. You lied. Period. Anything to make money. But it doesn't matter how much you think you have, the attorney my family uses is one who has no problem handling this and if he does I can guarantee you won't do anyone else this way.. And credit acceptance may not continue to fool with you after all this drama.. ESPECIALLY with you lying about down payments. So, no, I don't accept that bogus falsified response. Final Business Response

Bought a vehicle from him 3 months ago. Took it in to him cause it was acting funny 2 days after that. He said I didn't know what I was talking about. Why? Maybe bc I was a female maybe. Now I'm without a vehicle and have to pay payments for a year on something I can't drive bc he said everything was ok and I didn't know what I was talking. He says he's better then any other car salesmen and cares about his coustomers ha okay....","neg-1
