I recently bought a home and had Elliott's Construction due some remodeling work for me, he finally completed the work and I asked for a service invoice of all of the work that he did Mind you I asked him for this before the work started and he gave me the run around The work has been completed since April of this year and I have been calling and texting him he lie and said that he would give me the invoice; but never did Now he is not responding to my texts or calls I explained to Elliott that I need the invoice for my records and for tax purposes; yet he refuses to give it to me or to respond to my calls and textsElliott is the owner of the company and has not behaved himself professionally at all, nor did he value me as a consumer Will never use this business again, nor would I recommend it to anyone elseI would like the invoice of the work that he did along with any and all warrantiesHe was always changing the date for which the work was to be completed and became o

quoteI received a check from the bank for $10,*** *** was not pleased with the amount of money that I received as she felt that it was too much moneyMy colleague who also worked with *** *** requested that I return $to *** *** which I did doI also provided *** *** with a copy of the attached service invoice.After the initial job, had been completed, *** *** requested that a bathroom and laundry room be added to the list of servicesI informed her that the type of bathroom she wanted, the type of tiles and other materials were expensive and that the money was not enough to complete these additionsNonetheless, *** *** insisted on these additionsIt is my job to ensure that my clients get what they would want so I agreed to perform these servicesI quoted the bathroom at $and the laundry room at $*** *** agreed that I should complete these additional jobs which did extend the work time to complete the project.I completed these additional jobs and there is no outstanding work to be completed as of April I used the remaining $from the initial check received from the bank to complete these jobs and there is an outstanding balance of $*** *** was aware of the cost involved and she agreed that I should complete the workAlthough I realized that there is $2419.00, I have not actively attempted to collect the remaining balance.During the work process, *** *** complained about the amount of money that I received for the job as she felt that the work should have been completed for a lot lessHowever, my prices are based on the type of service I provide as well as the cost of materialsI always provide my clients with a quote before beginning the workWhen *** *** contacted me in May, I informed her that my Secretary emailed her the final invoiceHowever, I agreed to send her another copy as she stated she did not receive a copy of the final invoiceTherefore, I am shocked by her comments about my professionalism and serviceI would be happy to provide *** *** with another copy of the invoice detailing the work completed and the outstanding balance.Respectfully,Elliott A
June 10, 2017Dear *** *** ***:First I would like to say, thank you for the opportunity to respond to MrA***I would like to dispute MrA***'s claim that there was a balance due of $2,for the work on the houseMrA*** never gave a separate quote for the bathroom and for the laundry roomThe quote that he gave was for $3,for both the bathroom and the laundry roomI have called and texted MrA*** numerous times over duration of time that he took to complete the work and afterwards in an attempt to get an invoice for the work doneAnd never once did he verbally or in written form inform me of an existing balanceI can however contact my cellphone carrier and provide the texts and numerous times that I have contacted MrA*** and never once in those texts did he mention an unpaid balance for the said amount.This the first time that he has ever mentioned this supposed unpaid balanceWhen he expressed concerns about the cost of tile for the bathroom in March; I informed MrA*** to use a cheaper tile and made it explicitly clear to him that I did not want to go over budget, because I did not have the extra funds he said that he understoodI thought that was the end of it, since he said no more on the matterIf he had given me an invoice in the beginning when I asked him to let me know what we were working with all of this could have been avoidedI would have known what the cost was and would have been better able to decide what could be done and what could notI was never informed that he went over budget or that there was a balanceI don't know one contractor that will go that far over budget and spend their own funds; nor inform the client in order to get reimbursed for the funds usedIt is strange, that once I contacted your organization; that this is now mentionedMrA*** does not have a written and signed agreement with me for the work to be done or the cost because he never gave me one.The sole purpose of my contacting your organization was to get MrA*** for provide me with what is standard business policy, to give the client an invoice of the work to be completed and the cost, that way there would be no misunderstandingsI do not understand why it has come to thisMrA*** has said a lot in his letter to you; yet he has still not given me what I asked for, what I am due an invoice of the work doneI did not complain about receipts for the certifications or the work on the drivewayI just wanted an invoice of the work done on the bathroom and laundry roomAnd as for the supposed $2,balance; I never knew of or agreed for MrA*** to go over the budget or to pay this amount verbally or in writtenAll I want is an invoice of the work that he did; which is policy.Sincerely,
