*** *** talked to Revdex.com President *** *** at length about the issues in the complaint filed by the customer As the complaint indicates, his insurance company paid a substantial claim to install new windows in the home after the awnings installed by Mr***'s company had been
removed However, Mr***'s position is that the awnings that were installed were exactly as ordered by the customer He indicates that the customer carefully researched the product before ordering the awnings He says the customer made clear that the awnings should not be attached to the new brick on their home He says the customer understood that this would be what he called an "inside install," meaning that the awnings would fit inside the brick on the home and would be attached to the window frames This in the manner in which the windows were installed Mr***'s opinion is that the claim that his customer's filed with his insurance company was without merit, but the insurance company paid a claim of over $12,to install new windows for the customer Mr*** also believes that the customer's dissatisfaction with the awnings was substantially due to the awnings did not provide the amount of shade that the customer expected, but he says this is primarily due to the large size of the home relative to the size of the awnings The customer did not wish to re-install the awnings after the windows were replaced, but instead requested a refund of the payment made for the awnings Mr*** indicates the awnings were custom made, were designed and installed in accordance with instructions provided by the customer, and he considers the request of a refund to be unreasonable After extensive communication with the customer about this ***er, he turned the ***er over to his attorney He indicates that any further action on the ***er will need to be handled through his attorney and, if the customer wishes, through the court

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Based on Mr***' response, it is evident to us that he has misconstued some important facts. First, we made it very clear and apparent to Mr*** that we wanted NO voiding of our *** warranty or damage to our windows, and he managed to do both. He stated he informed us of an "inside install." We specifically told him he could not do ANYTHING that would structurally alter our windows. We told him *** and our general contractor advised us of this. Second, his insurance agent stated during our first conversation that *** Interiors was at fault and did damage our property and that they would be paying a claim. This substantiates the merit of our claim contrary to Mr***' statement saying our payout claim was "without merit." Third, Mr*** did not offer to reinstall the awnings. What transpired was, Mr*** asked the *** representative if their company would reinstall the awnings for us. The *** rep refused due to structural issues. I notified Mr*** on a voice mail (he quit taking any of our calls) of the awning issue and that no one would reinstall them. Mr*** sent us a letter stating that he would NOT reinstall the awnings but would pay for part of the installation if the cost was reasonable. We could not locate anyone to reinstall the awnings due to them not being "structurally sound." Mr. *** was negligent and damaged our home approx $12,plus, which the insurance company paid most of but not all We asked him to refund our money on the awnings as his "custom awnings" are useless and are not able to be installed in a structurally sound manner and would not damage our home again. He has refused this and has not communicated at all with us and pushed us off to his lawyer instead.
