On June 20, Southwest Electric Cooperative line crews disconnected power to approximately services including Mr
***'s residenceThis was done so our crews could safely change out a power poleAs Mr*** stated, we called to give advance notice to each member that would be affected by the power outageOur phone call said the outage could last up to hours, and the power was restored within hoursMr*** indicated we should have given him a warning on how to turn his electrical devices off & back on as he believes his device was damaged when we restored powerHow our linemen restored the power was no different than when we restore power after storm related or other power outagesWe go above industry standards to provide reliable and safe power for our members
We talked to the repairman who worked on the air conditionerHe stated the damage he saw might or might not have been caused by high voltageHe also said if it was high voltage there should have been damage to multiple items
During our conversations with Mr*** we have never stated we are above making mistakesWe simply told him we could not find that a mistake was made that would cause high voltage to his residenceLinework is a hazardous job and our linemen are very diligent to make sure mistakes are not made
Even though we acknowledge Mr*** did have a problem with his A/C unit, we do not feel we caused the problemThat is why we do not believe we owe for his repair
On the complaint activity report you show Southwest was notified of this complaint on June 22, We did not receive that notification and were not aware of the complaint until we received the notice on June 30,
