Review: My vin number is [redacted]

Current Mileage : 73,710

ON August 2013 , I purchased 4 brand new tires and got them installed their with road hazard insurance. Services were rendered and everything was fine till july 2014 wheres I was experiences bubbles on the tires and since that defect was covered under the warranty , the tire shouldve been replaced. I set there at the dealership that day for 3 hours only to be told that no one picks up the phone and the ihe will try next day to see if he can get it done. 2 weeks passed by everyday im calling and I get the run around saying he will call you and take care of that. on august5 2014 by car was shaking and I took my car to route 46 nissan only to be told that all 4 tires are tethered and are bad it has to be replaced. So I call meadowlands nissan only to be told he will call you in his convienance really? witha rude voice. I tired to talk to the service manager and again to be told he doesnt have time to speak to me I spent 26000 on a car plus spent so much money on service to be dealth like this?Desired Settlement: I want some type of compensation back for my cost and tired replaced...... asap.. but most likely I have tog et it done so I want some type of compensation and im not going to do any work on my car there again. I dont trust them. they can contract another nissan dealer to do the work.

Response:

We are willing to work with the customer. However, the customer has stated in this complaint that they will not allow us to work on their car. It is company policy that all repairs are done at our service center. Furthermore, when I investigated this matter, I learned that the insurance companies involved are conducting an investigation to determine if there was consumer fraud. This is an issue for the consumer to take up with the insurance policy that covers the car and not with the dealership. The insurance company has denied the customers claims and now the customer is trying to extract money from the dealership. The validity of this consumers accusations are questionable at best.

Response:

It's real funny that the dealership now respond with false accusations. This is the most unprofessional dealership I ever dealt with. Im trying to get money out of the dealership, is this the most absurd statement I heard? I came there with my tire intially with bubbles forming on the tire. Service advisor "[redacted]" makes me sit down their for 3 hours and only to be told the warranty company is not t responding. Also he gives me a alternative saying " pay for the tire and you will get reimbursed for the tire soon as they pay us to replace the tires." I rejected that and said I just want to go through the warranty company. He promises that thursday he has day off and friday first thing he will take care of me. I call and front secretary tells he is "busy' and for the next 2 weeks I call he is busy everytime I call. This is really disappointing that the dealership would lie to show the consumer as fraud. They are rude and unprofessional . This is not the first time this dealership has acted this way. A while back I went into their service department with a strut issue and to check the veichle, knowing that my car was under warranty , they came with a lame excuse saying the the struts were bad but the struts were new and the mounts were bad but they wanted to extract money from me and then file a claim under my warranty to get the struts mounts fixed, and also they said my car also was fine. They charged $125 for a diagnostic fee and when I demanded to see the service manager at that time Th Stevens , their response was like 2 weeks later after his vacation , he is busy now. I take my veichle in for inspection next day at another dealership and they find out that every problem I had was covered under the warranty. Wow what a difference.... but meadowlands they just wanted to screw some money out also other dealership they found my motor mounts were bad , my transverse links were bad and my head gasket was leaking. After threatning with a lawsuit , the general manager gives me a credit for 125 to use at their dealership for other maintain services. This is my 2nd time threatning this dealership with a lawsuit and now if this not come to conclusion I will sue for slandering and creating false accusation for fraud. Because I have calls records and emails that I sent to the dealership and dates and times and service records. I also said I dont want to get my car service their because I dont trust them anymore with my viechle. Im not contractly binded to only service my viechle at meadowland nissan , under my warranty terms I can go to any other Nissan Dealership to get my car serviced. They have no proof of fraud here , after the other dealership found out the tire were bad they requested the tires to get changed and the warranty comany replied saying they only cover nails and puncture damage. This dealership is a fraud itself. Because they know when there finance guy george wanted to fraud me out of 4000 , I couldve sued them but always gave them the benefit of the doubt. My statue of limitation of reporting fraud is 6 years and Contract is 6 years. But still im giving them the chance to amke it right. All I want is honest and fair resolution and I still hope we can come to that.

Review: On January 10th 2014 my car stopped in the middle of 5th Ave in NYC, I had my vehicle towed to the dealer so I can fix my issue. While speaking to the representative ( [redacted]) I also mentioned that my front and back brakes are making a lot of squeaking noises and I was told that it was because I did not use " Nissan parts" then I told him the parts were purchased from Nissan and had an outside mechanic replace them. I was then told by [redacted] that the mechanic did not repair the brakes correctly and that was the reason of the noises and that they would stop making noises once they were repaired correctly . So he was going to take a look at the vehicle and keep me updated on what the issues were. He then called Monday Jan 13th that my back brakes needed to be changed and my front brakes needed some maintenance done and also the car stopped because the break switch lamp blew out. So told him to go ahead with the repairs which cost me $1,336.76 , all I wanted was my car to start again and for the brakes to stop making the squeaking noises. I picked up my car on the 13th of January, not even a week later the noises started again so I decided to wait to see if it would disappear, a month later( around Feb. 17) I bring the car back to the dealer with the same issue that the brakes are making noises and they told me they cannot fix the front and back brakes that they will keep making these noises, I had my mom speak to the service manager and he was being rude and saying that the brakes will continue making these squeaking noises. Now my front and back brakes are making more noises then when I brought it in the 1st place, this makes me think that my front and back brakes never needed to be changed because the problem is worse than before. Also I had a loyalty card ( one to one rewards program) from Nissan that had $250 on it on my key ring that disappeared once my car was returned.Desired Settlement: I need the money back for the brakes so I can take it to someone that can fix my squeaking front and back brakes properly.

Response:

We have fully investigated this complaint. The customer told us that she went to a non Nissan mechanic who performed brake work for her prior to coming to our dealership. The work was done incorrectly. She authorized us to do the work as per Nissan specifications to repair the prior work that her mechanic had done to the vehicle. We quoted her a price and upon approval we performed and completed the work. One month later the customer returned stating that the brakes were making noise . We cleaned and adjusted them at no charge. Upon inspection of the vehicle, we determined that there were no issues with the brakes and that they were performing to factory specification. We performed the job correctly, unlike the prior mechanic who did not. Therefore, we will not be issuing a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: First of all they are giving excuses and mentioning a mechanic that did work on my car over a year ago, I came to them so they can fix the noises that the brakes were making and [redacted] said to me in front of my mother who is my witness that the brakes are making noises due to the mechanic not fixing them correctly because he did not "use Nissan parts" and he did not " cut the rotors" , when I got my car back the noises were actually WORSE. Also the brake switch that they supposedly fixed was also done incorrectly. I have a report from another dealer that I went to for a second opinion that states " FRONT AND REAR ROTORS NEED TO BE CUT ( AFTER MARKET BRAKE PADS) DID NOT USE NISSAN BRAKE PADS, BRAKE SWITCH NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED" ..I will be glad to fax or mail over any documentation you would like that shows they did not use NISSAN parts and also did not fix the brake switch properly. what they did was lie because CLEARLY they did not provide the service I assumed I was going to receive. Why would I take my car to a Nissan dealer to get parts other than Nissan parts??? . ELMWOOD Motors are CHEATING their customers. They charge me almost $1400 for a horrible job. AND stop using my past mechanic as an excuse, obviously I came to a Nissan dealer to get the correct work done and to have Parts from the Nissan Dealer. If I do not get my money back I will make sure I take them to small claims court because this is ridiculous.

Response:

All repairs were done correctly. If the brake switch was not repaired, the vehicle would not start or have been able to be driven from our dealership. The vehicle was towed in for not starting and started and drove out after we did the proper work. We stand by our decision not to refund this customer.

Review: [redacted] CONTINUES TO CONTACT ME WEEKLY VIA TELEPHONE, MAIL AND E-MAIL AFTER I HAVE REPEATEDLY ASKED TO BE REMOVED FROM ANY AND ALL MAILING LISTS. I HAVE TRIED TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD I WAS SPEAKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP MANAGER AND HE TOLD ME IT WOULD STOP. THAT WAS MORE THAN 6 MONTHS AGO. I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE JUNK MAIL AT MY HOME, PHONE CALLS TO MY HOME NUMBER AND E-MAILS TO MY PERSONAL E-MAIL. THIS IS HARASSMENT AND IT MUST STOP. I HAVE NOT LEASED A [redacted] VEHICLE IN OVER 18 MONTHS AND WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN.Desired Settlement: PLEASE REMOVE MY PRIVATE CONTACT INFORMATION FROM ALL[redacted] DATABASES AND MAILING LISTS IMMEDIATELY. CEASE AND DESIST.

Review: My car was bright in to the service department having issues. On sat Jan 16th I was told it was going to be $135 to analyze what was wrong. I got not phone call it is now Monday the 18th I had to chase them down and they are now telling me they haven't found the problem and want an additional $135 to figure out the problem. They won't release the car to me until I pay the initial fee. So in other words I am required to pay $135 for them to tell me they don't know what's wrong.Desired Settlement: I would like 1 of 2 outcomes

Analyze the problem for the initial agreed upon amount

Or not charge me to tell me they have no idea what's wrong

Review: In December of 2012 a remote starter was purchased from Meadowlands Nissan to be installed on the vehicle: 2008 Nissan Altima for roughly $500. After installation, the remote starter never worked properly. Since then a few services have been performed on the vehicle to fix the problem, but it was never resolved. These service calls took place during the spring of 2013. The remote starter works sometimes, but most of the time it malfunctions or just does not even try to start the vehicle. During the warmer season, the remote starter malfunctioned significantly less. Once the climate changed again, the remote starter malfunctioned very frequently. On November 26th, 2013, a service call was placed to inspect the vehicle and fix the problem. The vehicle was looked at but never fixed because the service department was unable to find the problem. Another call was placed to Meadowlands Nissan on December 12th, 2013 to look at the vehicle. The service department ignored my request. Another call was made to the original sales representative. He returned on January 6th, 2014 to inform that the vehicle needs to be looked at by [redacted]. A call was placed to [redacted] on March 3rd 2013, who informed that Nissan needs to initiate the service. Additionally, this company assured that they knew what the problem was. Immediately after, that same day, a call was made to Meadowlands Nissan to request for the service. The request was again ignored. Another call was placed on 3/12 to inform the service department that if they do not call back, a complaint will be opened with the Revdex.com. The service department has since failed to call back. Additionally, it is extremely bothersome to have to explain this problem each time a service call is placed.Desired Settlement: (1) Meadowlands Nissan should keep a record of this information so that when a service call is placed, the problem does not need to be explained again. (2) The purchased item (Remote Starter) on the vehicle, which has never worked properly, should be fixed within 90 days. The company [redacted] stated that they will fix the problem. This company is only waiting on the initiation from Meadowlands Nissan.

I am rejecting this response because: I still have not heard from the business

Regards,

Review: I purchased a 2011[redacted] Rogue from this business. When I got home I looked over my paperwork again and noticed a 2000.00 charge for an optional warranty. I returned the next day to cancel the warranty and was told if I canceled the warranty my deal would be canceled because the bank wouldn't finance me. I left disappointed and confused, but needed my car. In the next few days I contacted[redacted] and was told the information the dealer gave me was false and that the warranty is indeed optional. I returned a few days later to pick up my plates and to cancel the warranty. They refused to cancel the optional warranty once again. They don't want to lose the money they made off of charging me for the warranty. They are, in effect, forcing me to keep a warranty that I do not want nor need.Desired Settlement: I want this warranty immediately canceled, from the date of purchase, nothing less.

Review: I went into this dealer considering a trade in for a vehicle they had on the lot. We ended up in an agreement where I had 3 days/100 miles in which I could go back with the used vehicle I received and return it with no questions asked. On the second day, with 60 miles put on the car I went in and attempted to get my old car back and return the new one. [redacted], one of their finance managers told me my old car was already sold and that if I wanted to do a return to take a different vehicle, I'd be taking a $4,000 - $5,000 hit on a "trade in". The 3-day guarantee was out the window and they wanted me to come back a different day (which would have been outside the 3-day guarantee) to do the trade. I called my father in to assist since they were trying to scam me and when we tried to work out a deal where we could take my old car back and lease a cheaper car, [redacted] got up in front of my father and I and told me (still on day 2 of 3) that "I am going to teach you a lesson. You signed for the car, it's yours." and he proceeded to walk away. My father got up to try and continue discussion but we were run out of the store.

Supplementary to this they did not tell me I could receive a prorated refund on my old car for the full warranty coverage I had on it when I traded it in. I only found this out after contacting [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want my old car back and have no negative financial repercussion as that was the agreement we signed upon. The people running this operation are very shady and I am not interested in further business with them. I want them to honor the displayed sign in the window, that clearly states I have 3 days or 100 miles to change my mind. I got fooled by their sign and their reassurance that If I didn't want it I could return it, I DO NOT WANT IT!

Review: When my wife and I pur[redacted]d the car we told the finance mgr, Jurman, didn't want any additional coverage. We just wanted to pay the price agreed upon on the deal plus the usual taxes and fees. I noticed the nearly $2000 cost added on the car. He said it was in error and he will take it off afterwards. We didn't realize it was the additional warranty that we specifically did not want. The next day we looked over all the paperwork again we noticed it the $2k cost was the warranty and called immediately. The dealership had us come back again that evening to re-sign all the paperwork over again with the amounts agreed upon and also signed a cancellation sheet on the warranty they added on to our loan. They said it would take approximately six months in order for the money to come off our loan and come down to the agreed upon price, because the processing of the cancellation of the extended warranty took some time. We were completely okay with waiting, if that is what the procedure entailed, the dealership told us to continue making the larger payments per month and the $2000 would come off the loan as a payment. It has been now 17 months, and we have contacted [redacted] to find out why it was never removed, they claim the dealership never did what they needed to do on their end to fix the issue. I then contacted the dealership, spoke with an operator, who then gave it to "[redacted]" who then gave it to another dept. to handle, then was being helped by someone named [redacted]. She assured me in August of 2014 that this would be handled, and would call me to confirm this will be taken care of, but that call never happened. I followed up a few weeks later again with [redacted], still nothing. Followed up with dealership, again [redacted] said she would call me back. They will not put me in touch with mgr, always an excuse. Have copies of all necessary paperwork you may need.Desired Settlement: I would like the $2000 amount removed from the car loan as it was stated in the paperwork we signed to waive the extended warranty.

Review: I bought a 2014 Nissan Versa Note from them. Everything went on well before I went into their finance room. The finance guy there [redacted] raised the final price. He told me that there is a $999 acquisition fee from the bank, but I could get it back from the bank after I made the full payment. Also I was told to have to buy a service to get insurance discount, because it comes with the car. Several days later when I was told that I can’t get 0% APR loan for the car, I told him I would rather pay the full price right away, and he should deduct the $999 acquisition fee, but he changed his words, and said $299 is the acquisition fee. What a scam! I could forgive him about selling me a service to get insurance discount, which is also a lie, but the $999 acquisition fee I could get back is such a scam. At last, since I have already drove the car home, I have to pay the extra $999 charge that I was told to be able to get back after full payment. I learnt a lesson that I have to record when dealing with car sales for future evidence. Right now I am not sure how much I could get back after paid in full three years later, but I think I could’t get the $999 back.Desired Settlement: I want them to write a official letter to me stating that I could get $999 acquisition fee back after full payment. I could take it to the court later if I don't get $999 back

To Whom It may Concern,I am currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this deal. As soon as I have all of the facts and figures in line, we will make a resolution.
