I was led to believe by the owner that he was honest, understanding and hard working. I have found none of that to be true. We had to make the down payment for a lawn in December for a lawn to be installed in May. It's now mid August and we don't have a lawn and the flower beds we do have are over run with weeds. [redacted] ignores our texts, phone calls and emails. He should not be running a business. I have told him multiple times to simply text or call me if something comes up and he either can't or won't do it. He was 2 months late installing anything and then I told him not to install anything because we were going on vacation for two weeks and wouldn't be able to water new plants so of course two days before we leave he installs everything and says he'll check on it. He didn't. Our watering system had some problems and many of our plants died. He has not been back to check on anything and it's been a month and numerous phone calls and texts. Please whatever you do don't hire this company they are worthless.

Review: I hired ELS Landscaping to complete a large landscaping project. This was a home that was just built so it needed a driveway, front walkway, patio, flower beds, sprinkler system, down spout burial, and grass. The project was to take 3 weeks max. we hired him May 0f 2013 and he did not finish the project till the end of August. He would promis that workers were coming and then knowbody would show up and he wouldn't even contact me to tell me, instead he would go days without anwsering his phone. When I could finally get ahold of him he had every excuse as to to why he they couldn't come, including he was so busy, employee call-ins, budget problems, working on a different job. He was also extremely unproffesional when he would talk to my husband and I. All in all we had to threaten him with litigation to get the project completed. He would ask for money early because he didn't have enough money make payroll for the week. the whole process was a nightmare to say the least. The project cost 40,000.

My biggest compaint that we are still dealing with is I just found out that he did not plant seed to our lot line in the back. He shorted us 6ft. There is a common area behind our house and 6ft of that land is still ours. I wanedt him to dig that land up and seed it. He then has to move 3 pine trees that were planted at the back of the yard because now they will be in the middle of the yard. He also was suppose to replace a few plants that have not survied. I tried at least 20+ times to contact him by email, phone, text and when he finally emailed me back he told me our project was completed and he will not do business with us further and that he voided our warranties as well.Desired Settlement: At this point I do not want to do business with ELS Landscaping given all the problems we have had. At this point I would just like some money back for the work that needs to be redone and the plants that need to be replaced. I am asking for a check for $500
