To whom it may concern,We received a letter in the mail containing a complaint from *** *** concerning his $for a Rental Application Fee. He came in with his parents on December 27, 2017, filled out an application, and paid his $application fee for a back ground and credit check
While in the process of checking with the previous landlord and current employer, we were unable to finish the processHe gave incorrect contact information for his previous landlord and the Forest Service contact did not recognize the name *** *** as a new or current employeeI managed to track down a different number for a *** ***, the landlord, and left a voicemail with that number in case it was the correct ***A call was never received from ***, so the assumption was made that that was not the correct *** ***.A call was made to *** ***, the number *** *** gave for his contact, and a voicemail leftAlso, a note was left on his application regarding the questions that needed answered (correct landlord contact and a name of who to speak with at the forest service to make sure the former person wasn't mistaken) just in case *** called backHe did not, otherwise those questions would have been answered, and the process would have been completed. As for the $We would have gladly returned to *** his $application fee if he would have calledWe still would be more than happy to return his $to himHe simply has to come into the officeWe will NOT mail a check or cash. While in the process of checking with the previous landlord and current employer, we were unable to finish the process. He gave incorrect contact information for his previous landlord and the Forest Service contact did not recognize the name [redacted] as a new or current employee. I  managed to track down a different number for a [redacted], the landlord, and left a voicemail with that number in case it was the correct [redacted]. A call was never received from [redacted], so the assumption was made that that was not the correct [redacted].A call was made to [redacted], the number [redacted] gave for his contact, and a voicemail left. Also, a note was left on his application regarding the questions that needed answered (correct landlord contact and a name of who to speak with at the forest service to make sure the former person wasn't mistaken) just in case [redacted] called back. He did not, otherwise those questions would have been answered, and the process would have been completed. As for the $25. We would have gladly returned to [redacted] his $25 application fee if he would have called. We still would be more than happy to return his $25 to him. He simply has to come into the office.
