Good Day, After reviewing the account and your inquiry regarding a refund, the following was identified. Invoice [redacted] had a credit balance of $143.30 as a result of an over payment from check number [redacted] ON 5/31/2017_ the agent you spoke with will be receiving coaching as she should 'not...
have commented on any credit balance or possible refund. Our Cash Applications department will do a broad search to ensure the patient or any direct immediate family member does not have an open balance with our services prior to deciding if a refund is warranted. Invoice [redacted] was located and determined to be the spouse of the complainant based on a demographic record review. The balance of $1213.30 was transferred to invoice [redacted] as a result of the escalation to our refunds' department research. However, due to a pending secondary payment froM the insurance posting 4 days later, this resulted in another credit balance of $143.30. After further review, no other open Invoices were located and a check was Issued (Check number [redacted]) on 9/15/2017. Please allow time for the refund to be received via the United States Postal Services. We resolved this issue on 2/26/15. While we are not contracted with BCBS directly, we do treat patients seen at Rio Grande who we BCBS as if we are...
contracted. The balance bill of the non-allowed charges was an error that we corrected. The guarantor only owes his deductible which is $136.59. He paid $50 on 3/3/15 and currently• is an outstanding balance of $8639. Please let me know if the are any questions.
