EMDA, Inc. Reviews (4)

EMDA, Inc stands behind its productsWe asked that the materials be measured by a device to find the thickness of the materialsThe standard thickness of a gauge material is micron plus or minus 10%The customer stated that he will get the materials measured but he has not done that to this dateHe will find that the thickness of the material is correct because I do not buy any material that is out of specs.
we always resolve customer concerns but not new requests for discounts after a previous demand for waving of justified fees

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I got a thinner material than I paid forI am going to investigate on getting the materials accurately measured for thickness to prove my case. As far as *** ***''s claim of me complaining about the last orders is false. My first complaint on was not about the order, but about the illegal credit card fees he's been charging for the last years. Sometime in 2013, the law was changed and those fees are now allowed, but prior to that they were not.
Once I get the materials measured, I will update my findings

This is the first complaint to the Revdex.com against EMDA since we were established in 1991. And it is not justified.
This customer has complained the last 2 orders, and wanted money to settle. The first complaint last year was for a credit card processing fee. Even though the charges were...

justified, I decided to give him that credit to maintain a customer. Now again he wants money. When he wrote me with his complaint, I immediately responded and asked him to take the materials and have it measured for thickness. Plastic materials always vary from production run to production run, always within tolerance. My response to his current complaint was in quotes: "The hand and feel are great indicators but not scientific instruments. The industry polyester standard for the 3 gauge and what I have purchased from my vendors since the day EMDA started was 70 micron material, +/- 10%. If you find any material that is outside those parameters and is tested by someone with the correct instruments, let me know. Yes, in the past I have supplied heavier material to serve my customers immediate needs when the standard materials were not available.. I have never sold any product that is less then the standard."
We are very customer oriented. When he needed an expedited order last year, EMDA even supplied him with a more expensive 4 gauge thicker plastic and did not charge. And never got a thank you.
EMDA wants to keep my record clean with Revdex.com, but cannot not in true conscience agree to give money for an incorrect and unjustified demand.

Review: I've been ordering currency holders from EMDA Inc. for about 7 years. I usually place 1 order of 10,000 pieces per year. I've had no issues the previous 6 years, but the order I placed last month is different. I received the order on 8/**, but I didn't open the shipment until 9/** since I was still using older stock. I always purchase their 3 gauge material, which is has the perfect thickness and rigidity for my purpose. The latest order was not 3 gauge, it was thinner material and less rigid. [redacted] at EMDA rudely denies my complaint and chooses not to work with me of further investigate the matter. Companies make mistakes and he will not own up to the fact that I was sent a lesser material than what I paid for.Desired Settlement: I can still use the product, but I would like a partial refund due to the lesser quality material I received. $200 seems like a reasonable refund.
