Although we at Emerald Automotive are extremely sorry that Mr [redacted] has had this issue, we can not issue him a refund due to the fact he fully admits his son bottomed the car out on a curb which in turn snagged the corner of the bumper causing it to tear away from the upper mounting bracket on the passenger sideas for the fender liner that had been worn away due to it rubbing on the tire, This is a fender liner, all it does is line the inside of the fender to cover the components that would otherwise be exposed to the elements of the roadAlthough it is secured at the bottom corner of the fender by one screw, it is only attached there so it does not flap aroundIt is only very thin plastic and is not ridged therefore has no effect on the lower bumper being supportedWe also took in his vehicle to do the bumper cover as a sublet job for Mr [redacted] , we do not perform any type of body work here, if needed I can upload a copy of the paperwork Stating the bumper cover was not installed here at our shop but subletted outAgain it is very unfortunate Mr [redacted] had to get his bumper repaired again, however our warranty can not cover damage impossed by hitting something that caused the damage

Rich MerrymanFeb 6 to me I wanted to add that the response from the owner still does not address the fact that they used a part that was damaged, regardless of whether they felt it would support the bumper guard or not I have attached a picture that shows the liner currently attached You can see in the bottom of the picture that is clearly IS RIDGED, which is opposite of what he stated in his response.He also failed to admit that I was NEVER consulted on whether to put the damaged part back on They made that decision on their own I also would like to point out that the car was damaged the second time by backing out of a driveway, not over a curb Rich Merryman

We replaced Miss *** Valve cover under warranty as a good faith gesture, even though the cause of failure of the valve cover was due to another issue with the vehicle The spark plug wires arced and melted the valve cover gasket a week after original repairMiss *** was given the option
of paying for the proper repair to her vehicle, not pay to have another valve cover installed as well as diagnosis of why her car did not run, or pay for the tow to our shop and have the vehicle towed somewhere else After an abusive conversation with our GM ***, she elected to accept the proper fix and drive the vehicle out of our shopA replacement of her faulty spark plugs and spark plug wires is not "a full tune up," as she states, it was what was wrong with her car and what caused her valve cover gasket to go badWe installed a new gasket and covered her towing to our shop FREE of chargeMiss *** as all clients are free to take their vehicles from our shop at any point, she was, nor ever would be forced to do a repairas far as brake line damage from a lift, Miss ***'s vehicle was never put on one of our lifts, her vehicles tires remained on the ground at all times, not to mention if it was damaged by us her brake fluid would have leaked the day it left not a week laterI ask she produce a statement from both companies stating repairs performed by Emerald Automotive are the cause, as PROOF we are responsibleAs far as her claim we forced her to pay for unauthorized repairs, why was this not mentioned when she pick up her car, I personally spent minutes with her, and I believe it was her parents, explaining what happened, and how to maintain her vehicle properly so these types of issues do not happenNot once did Miss *** state to me that she was unhappy with the repairs and did not want them doneIf she felt like she was forced to pay I personally apologize, but she did have the option to come retrieve her car without any repairs and she decided not to, as she wanted us to fix everything free of charge for her Miss *** was provided with the option to not have services performed and she made an educated choice Again we are sorry for her frustration with car repair, we just cannot reimburse anyone for there cars issues we did not causeIf any questions arise we have a documentation and invoices of what occurred with Miss ***.Thank You*** Emerald Automotive***

Once Again We Are Extremely Sorry To Hear Mr. Merryman's Car Issues. As Stated In Our Last Response, Our Warranty Does Not Cover Damaged Caused By The Customer. As Mr. [redacted] States Again, The Bumper Was hit By A Driveway. This Impact Is A Direct Result Of Why The Bumper Cover Broke At The Hold down Bracket On The Upper Portion Of The Cover. As For The Fender Liner, Neither I, Our Tech, Rout 2 Collision Or Mr. [redacted] Know When The Hole In The Fender Liner Was Created. But Again This Is Just A Thin Piece Of Plastic And Offers No Support To The  Bumper Cover.

I have looked into Mr. [redacted]'s complaint. I have detemained that Mr. [redacted] carried in a shock that was removed from the vehicle, It was explained to Mr. [redacted] that he has a lifetime warranty on his rear shocks and it one was faulty we needed him to bring his vehicle in and we can warranty out his...

shocks. Mr. [redacted] refused the action and said he wanted his shock now, he was told that we were unable to get a replacement for him until Monday as it was Saturday afternoon and our supplier was closed. Mr. [redacted] still has a lifetime warranty on his shocks in which we are more than happy to honor for him. We are requesting that the vehicle be brought in as that is the only way we can perform a warranty for him. Thank You[redacted]'Emerald Automotive[redacted]
