Below is EB Homes' response to the customer's complaint:
"">"The homebuyer's contract stated that the home comes with a standard gravel driveway. That was done, but the customer did not like the color. EB Homes e-mailed the customer and said they would resolve the color of the gravel issue in January. They also informed the customer that weather (cold temperatures, rain, sleet, etc.) plays a part in equipment/work delays. EB Homes scheduled the gravel company to make the gravel a uniform color, and that was performed on Jan21st. This issue has been resolved."

the business was unable to receive the loan for this job to take placeHe will refund the customer the $deposit since no work is able to be done

Im in receipt of your letter. We will schedule our year inspection to handle punch list items. As far as the deck goes, we need to file paperwork with the county. We typically build a x deck; however, if the contract calls for x 16, then we will build
that. We will file the paperwork with the county in June concerning the deck. Once the county approves the deck permit, we will finish within two weeks. We will send out our punchlist contractor in June. We have a person that handles all of the post closing items for buyers. The purchaser can email me directly to follow up. I will put them in contact with everyone. Many thanks ***Emerald Builders LLC

Review: After a history for more than a year of non-response to questions/problems without many follow-ups, I am filing this complaint after 2 attempts to correct my problem. EB Homes was my builder. I gave them the 11-month punch list in the appropriate time as they requested. One of the items has not been taken care of and I am not receiving a response from my requests for follow up. The builder performed work to the end of my driveway in the spring, which was a disaster in itself. [redacted], who spoke on behalf of the builder at that time, told me my driveway would be restored to a better condition than prior to the drainage work. That drainage work was not done at my request and I was not notified that they would be digging up the end of my driveway. There is a significant color difference in the gravel they chose to use after the repair was complete. I included that item on my punch list. On December 18th, when the other punch list work was done, [redacted], the representative for the company that day, told me they had planned to use some sort of machinery to mix the gravel colors. [redacted] also stated that he did not see a difference in the color. I sent [redacted] an email at [redacted] asking about the driveway and another issue. I also sent pictures of both issues. The other issue was resolved. The driveway issue remains unresolved. I sent another email on Wednesday, Dec. 31st. I still have not received any response whatsoever.

The phone number listed on your site is most likely the answering service phone number. In my experience over the last year +, they do not return calls from that phone number. I do not have a phone number for [redacted], but his email address is noted above.Desired Settlement: I want the gravel in my driveway replaced with one load so that the color is consistent throughout the entire driveway.

Review: I singed a contract no 5/25/2014 with Emerald Builders,LLC DBA Homes to have a house built. My closing date is 10/30/2014, and the lot has not even been cleared yet. On 6/14/2014 I picked out my colors. On 7/1/2014 I received a email stating the builder ([redacted])didn't have the builders permit back yet,but he said he was planning to clear the lot install driveway, and put up silt fence in the next two weeks. 4 weeks went past, and nothing was done.My realtor contacted them to see what the hold up was. on 7/29/14 I got a email saying the builder plans on clearing the lot next week.On 8/1/2014 I received a email that the builder has surveyed the lot and will be moving dirt soon.weeks past they still didn't clear the lot or did any work. My realtor contacted them again to see what the hold up was, and then I received a email on 8/22/2014 saying they expect the clearing contractor any day now, he was suppose to do it last week, but was stuck on another job. It's now 10/27/2014, they still didn't clear the lot, and we cant seem to get a hold of the builder to see what the hold up is, and my closing date is next Thurday 10/30/2014 5 months and no work as been done to the lotDesired Settlement: I just want them to honor the contract, and start building my house

Review: I purchased a house from them in November and our contract included the addition on a 10x16 ft deck. We are also having a few issues with the house that we need to have addressed. We have been trying to contact this business for almost two months. I have left messages at the business, tried email and have also tried to go through our real estate agent. I am not getting any response from the builder.Desired Settlement: Fix the front door.

Fix all of the nails that are coming up through the floor under the carpets.

Build a deck or give us the amount that it would cost us to have it build by someone else, I am more than happy to get an estimate.

Provide us with a number that we can use to contact this business up until our 1 year warranty is up.
