Terrible Business Practices
I attempted to move into Emerald Place apartments . The day that I was set to move in was on a Friday afternoon. I went to the apartment to get my keys during lunchtime and saw the apartment. It was a mess but, their were two individuals cleaning it and the management stated that it would be ready to move in by the time I got off of work. I got my keys and after 5PM (the time the office closes), I went into my apartment. The apartment looked as if it had never been cleaned. Their were spiders and roaches crawling out of the dishwasher, stove, bathroom, and the storage areas within the kitchen. The apartment was not clean, it had broken fixtures and stains throughout the apartment. The apartment office is closed on the weekend so I had to get a hotel room for that amount of time. On Monday, I went to the office and told that that I want my money back in full including all fees as they did not rent me an apartment that was livable. They asked me to wait until Wednesday for another apartment to be ready and they would move me in their after they would clean that up. They refused to put me in a hotel and reimburse me for the amount of money that I had spent so far. On Wednesday, they took me into an apartment that had a broken glass door going onto the patio, that smelled like ammonia, and had a ceiling that looked as if it was going to fall due to a busted water pipe. I explained to them at that time again, I want my money back in full. I received two checks in the mail today for the amount of $584.40 & $25 totaling $609.40. I did not receive any compensation for the full amount of rent that I paid (first month), they charged me for renting the renting the apartment for 18 days when I did not stay in the apartment at all, and other fees. Failure to provide minimum required services by a landlord. Response to email, service requests, maintenance, abide by lease contract.
First Issue: I am being billed ~$200 more each month than the amount on my lease. After multiple attempts over 6 months to have this fixed by contacting staff by email and in person, there has been no change.

Second Issue: My Apprent portal says 'Account Locked: You cannot submit payments online. Please contact your leasing office for more information.' After several attempts over 6 months in person and by email with staff to have this remedied, there has been no change.

Third Issue: I have submitted 6 maintenance requests for leaking dishwasher, leaking toilet, an uneven hole in the floor, all smoke and CO2 detectors failing with fresh batteries, clogged dryer vent, and no hot water (for 3 days and counting as of this writing). There has been no reply to the maintenance requests. As a last resort I emailed the administration directly about these issues, and never received a reply.

Refused to repair my ac in heat of the summer
I moved in and day one I had to fill out a form - on this form I noted the ac was not working - they sent someone over to fix it but was told they needed to get some freon the next day - the next day no ac - I called again they sent someone over but didnt fix - next day still not ac - now its 2+ weeks and they are just ignoring my phone calls and still no ac - called the parent company and they didnt not help and they are now ignoring my phone calls
