I dislocated my shoulder I had it fixed at urgent care I was billed by the hospital and paid in full what my insurance didn't cover One year later, after moving across the country, I received another outlandish bill from Emergency Medicine Specialist with no indication as to what it was for I called them and disputed it and was given no explanation as to what it was for other than that it was for the date on which I dislocated the shoulder or why it was so expensive I also asked that they talk to my insurance company and they said they would, but my insurance company had no record of the billThey then they just sent the debt to a collection agency with whom I have also disputed the bill, but not before it hurt my credit rating

Both my husband and I used the Wheaton Fransician Urgent Care in the past and used the services from Emergency Medicine Specialists (which we were never informed that was outside of Wheaton Fransician). The care we received was excellent. On each occasion we paid our insurance co pay for urgent care. On both occasions we received the bill from Wheaton Franciscan and paid it. My husband received a call from a collections agency for EMS three months after his care. We had never received a bill from EMS before his bill was sent to a collections agency. I received a letter from a collections agency 4 years after my care, like my husband I had never received a bill from EMS. There seems to be problems with their billing. This had led to my husband and I refusing to return to this facility, which is sad because the care we received was excellent, but definitely not worth the headache with billing.
