Back in March one of our rental units had a faucet in the bathroom that was leaking We got a call from our tenant letting us know that the lead was coming from their bath tub spout and the constant dripping was wasting a lot of waterAfter searching for a few plumbers we decided to call Emergency Plumbing and Solar due to their ratings and also they said they could have someone there the very next day We spoke with their plumber Michael, and he said he would have to cut open the closet wall in order to access the pipesThen he would install new shower valves, a tub spout, and shower head He would also install an access panel in the closet in case we need to access these pipes in the future We trusted the plumber Michael and felt confident he knew what he was doing especially since he was with such a reputable company Emergency Plumbing and Solar However, what first started out as a call about a simple leak from our Tub Faucet turned into a nightmare that took nearly months to remedy While Michael was working on the faucet we received a call from our downstairs tenants letting us know that water was dripping from their ceiling There was clearly a leak upstairs that wasn’t there before I called my tenant to make sure everything was okay and she was shocked that no one from Emergency Plumbing and Solar had contacted me about a major mishap that occurred Their plumber Michael had forgotten the #rule in plumbing which is to shut off the main water valve going into the house before working on the pipes Due to his negligence this simple mistake completely flooded the closet and the whole bedroom on the 2nd floor which lead to the leak on the first floor He was working in the bathroom and didn’t even notice the flooding that was occurring in the closet and bedroom next doorIt was my tenant that went over to check on him because he heard the sound of water spraying out Had my tenant not been home I can’t imagine the type of damage that would have occurred They had to use every towel and rug they could find to dry up the water before it did damage to the laminate flooring Our downstairs tenants ceiling light fixture was filled with water and the bulb burnt outThere was extensive water damage to our downstairs unit all throughout the ceiling EPS’s report said that there was “some water that leaked into the downstairs unit and caused wet spots in the particle board ceiling.” I had to insist that it was more than just a little water that leaked out and got someone to come and fix the damage Even after we notified EPS they did not apologize one time I felt like they were trying to minimize it and even went as far to say that they weren’t responsible EPS created such a nightmare for us and our tenants! Then they called and requested the full amount of $1,to be paid to them for the work they did And come to find out they didn’t even install a new shower head like they said they were going to perform We also had an existing access panel in our closet, so Michael didn’t have to cut through our wall and install a new panel Here’s the craziest part, Michael was NOT A LICENSED PLUMBER and did not seem to know what he was doing Typically, if there is an Unlicensed Plumber working there should at least be one Licensed plumber there There was only Michael who was not a license plumber I asked why there wasn’t a licensed plumber on the premises and they told me that they didn’t need to have one since Michael was operating under the companies license They told me this is common practice We brought this to EPS’s attention and received no empathyIn fact they weren’t even trying to understand the magnitude of the situation After several calls to them asking if we could get some kind of discount or price adjustment due to the events written above they continued to deny us and say it was a flat fee and they couldn’t do anything about it They didn't even showed they cared and didn't even offer to make things right There are so many better plumbing companies out thereYou’re better off going with someone else

In response to bathroom shower faucet leakage exceeding gallon per minute last week Thursday evening (Jan 2017), I contacted different "after hour" plumbing services but only Emergency Plumbing & Solar (EPS) could dispatch a plumber that night for a quoted service fee of $99, which would go towards any repair I decided to use EPS to accomplish The EPS plumber arrived within an hour and after unsuccessfully attempting to disassemble the shower valve, determined it was unrepairable then recommended the entire fixture be replaced, estimating the job would take about hours and cost about $ I also asked the EPS plumber to repair a bath sink faucet with a steady drip to which he said he would try and fit the sink faucet repair in with the shower faucet replacement The EPS plumber checked his van but since he had no replacement on hand, he promised to return the next morning at about 7: The EPS plumber called the following morning to inform me that he had purchased the replacement fixture after the store opened and arrived at my residence shortly thereafter at about 8: He was able to remove some of the existing but unreusable copper tubing and after some routine tubing reconfiguration, completed the shower fixture installation (including caulking) by 9:AM After restoring water service, a visual check revealed no leaks The EPS plumber was not able to repair the sink faucet because of another service call he had to respond to and when asked about the final cost, indicated the $charge (+ ~ $tax) was a flat rateQuality of Work: God to Excellent Cost: Exorbitant - the replacement fixture was purchased at [redacted] *** (retail price $109.99), total material cost, including copper tubing/fittings, caulk, solder, etc is estimated at well under $ Labor, including the initial service call, was less that hrs, which equates to a labor rate charge in excess of $325/hrRecommendation: Only if cost is not a consideration would I recommend EPS as they are able to respond after hours and the quality of work is acceptable [redacted] - As a follow up, we soon experienced water leakage through the flooring beneath the newly installed fixture It was later determined that the aforementioned leakage was caused by water from the shower getting by the opening in the tile wall (originally created to accommodate the fixture) which was left partially exposed after installation of the cover plate due to an improperly (not properly centered) installed fixture This the reason for the 2-star rating  reflected in the update

The only pricing information I received was that it cost $to dispatch someone to fix my problemI was told that the plumber would call when they arrived with an estimateI was not informed that the estimate was a flat rate that could have been provided to me prior to dispatching the plumberWhen I needed the work to extend to a second day, I was informed it was a flat rateThe flat rate is inflated and I declined service for the second dayI was overcharged for the service provided

Something in the vicinity of my toilet was leaking into the downstairs unitLyle and Jacob came the next dayThey explained things (the issues and pricing) to me clearlyThey used a camera to explore the pipes and allowed me to look as wellAnd they thoroughly addressed the issueThey were uber professionalI have had a lot of bad experiences with contractors ........but I highly recommend Emergency Plumbing and Solar

Back in March one of our rental units had a faucet in the bathroom that was leaking We got a call from our tenant letting us know that the lead was coming from their bath tub spout and the constant dripping was wasting a lot of waterAfter searching for a few plumbers we decided to call Emergency Plumbing and Solar due to their ratings and also they said they could have someone there the very next day
We spoke with their plumber Michael, and he said he would have to cut open the closet wall in order to access the pipesThen he would install new shower valves, a tub spout, and shower head He would also install an access panel in the closet in case we need to access these pipes in the future We trusted the plumber Michael and felt confident he knew what he was doing especially since he was with such a reputable company Emergency Plumbing and Solar
However, what first started out as a call about a simple leak from our Tub Faucet turned into a nightmare that took nearly months to remedy While Michael was working on the faucet we received a call from our downstairs tenants letting us know that water was dripping from their ceiling There was clearly a leak upstairs that wasn’t there before I called my tenant to make sure everything was okay and she was shocked that no one from Emergency Plumbing and Solar had contacted me about a major mishap that occurred
Their plumber Michael had forgotten the #rule in plumbing which is to shut off the main water valve going into the house before working on the pipes Due to his negligence this simple mistake completely flooded the closet and the whole bedroom on the 2nd floor which lead to the leak on the first floor He was working in the bathroom and didn’t even notice the flooding that was occurring in the closet and bedroom next doorIt was my tenant that went over to check on him because he heard the sound of water spraying out Had my tenant not been home I can’t imagine the type of damage that would have occurred They had to use every towel and rug they could find to dry up the water before it did damage to the laminate flooring
Our downstairs tenants ceiling light fixture was filled with water and the bulb burnt outThere was extensive water damage to our downstairs unit all throughout the ceiling EPS’s report said that there was “some water that leaked into the downstairs unit and caused wet spots in the particle board ceiling.” I had to insist that it was more than just a little water that leaked out and got someone to come and fix the damage Even after we notified EPS they did not apologize one time I felt like they were trying to minimize it and even went as far to say that they weren’t responsible
EPS created such a nightmare for us and our tenants! Then they called and requested the full amount of $1,to be paid to them for the work they did And come to find out they didn’t even install a new shower head like they said they were going to perform We also had an existing access panel in our closet, so Michael didn’t have to cut through our wall and install a new panel Here’s the craziest part, Michael was NOT A LICENSED PLUMBER and did not seem to know what he was doing Typically, if there is an Unlicensed Plumber working there should at least be one Licensed plumber there There was only Michael who was not a license plumber I asked why there wasn’t a licensed plumber on the premises and they told me that they didn’t need to have one since Michael was operating under the companies license They told me this is common practice We brought this to EPS’s attention and received no empathyIn fact they weren’t even trying to understand the magnitude of the situation
After several calls to them asking if we could get some kind of discount or price adjustment due to the events written above they continued to deny us and say it was a flat fee and they couldn’t do anything about it They didn't even showed they cared and didn't even offer to make things right
There are so many better plumbing companies out thereYou’re better off going with someone else

On Jack P*** provided a quote at 12pm and I payed the $4,immediately The technicians, however, did not arrive until 6pm that evening and as result did not leave until 11:30pm Since the techs showed up late, they were unable to complete the installation of what was described as a sensor for the solar water heating element I completely understand your company's safety policy by not allowing your techs to work on the roof under low visibility However, I was advised that I would receive a follvisit on 8.11.18, this of course was not the case
After two days of absolutely no communication from your team, I contacted your office in hopes of tracking down the status of my installation I was then given a confirmed appointment for On I was notified that my appointment was postponed until as the "specialist" for this installation was unavailable Once again, on Jessica contacts me around 3pm to notify that my appointment had

EPS employee arrived late and did not complete the repair that he was called forHe presented a tablet for signature which I believed to be an estimate for workI then received an email with the work estimate items on an invoice and my signature above the phrase “I acknowledge satisfactory completion of the above described work, and that the premises have been left in satisfactory conditionI agree that the amount set forth in the space marked "TOTAL" is the total flat rate price I have agreed to.” The work had not been completed so this was untrue

To whom it may concern,On 9/29/15 Estimate #[redacted] was approved by [redacted] & [redacted]. We scheduled with the customer for techs to arrive on site on 10/01. At that time, [redacted] proceeded to make the necessary repairs to the Waste & overflow as quoted. We then began to demo the exiting shower walls as...

quoted. Once the walls were down, we brought the customers attention that the metal studs had rust and was not suitable for new tile walls to be secured to. We also found that the common plumbing lines were rotted. Pls note that all problems found were brought to the attention of the customer and any and all change orders were approved. The customer as well as the Resident Manager were all aware of the delay due to these new findings. We provided the Resident Manager with an estimate to make the plumbing repairs to the rotted pipes in the walls, Helen approved the estimate and requested that we complete her portion of the work on 10/06. The customers were aware of this delay due to a building wide water shut down and agreed. On 10/06 we made the necessary repairs behind the wall to the plumbing pipes. On 10/08 we proceeded to make the necessary repairs to the metal studs as approved by both [redacted] & [redacted]. In the following week we proceeded to replace the existing shower valve in which [redacted] provided (per our approved estimate) as well as hang and water proof hardy board. As a request and courtesy to Mr. & Mrs. [redacted], we installed a second layer of water proofing at no extra charge. We then installed 6x6 white tile per the request of [redacted]. We applied tile to the (3) shower walls as well as exterior walls through out the bathroom per the customers request. Please note, that the customers had full access & contact with the owner of the company throughout the entire duration of this project & never once had any complaints about the employees or the workmanship. Prior to work commencement, [redacted] approved the shower door selection via email, the same doors were purchased and installed by [redacted]. The break down of the estimate is as followed: Waste & over flow $220 (Discounted prior to approval for customer due to amount of work)Shower Doors including installation $450Shower valve $450Additional framing to replace rotted structure $1100Demo, shower walls, harry board & water proofing $2500 We are willing to remove the price of the tile & demo work, however all of the other work was approved, completed and is in perfect working condition. We made every attempt to keep the client happy and had zero complaints until it was time for the [redacted]'s to pay for the completion invoice. With the discount for the tile & demo, the remaining balance due at this time is $1,605.00 and is due immediately to avoid a property lien. We believe this is more then fair being that we completed thousands of dollars worth of work, and delt with the continuous power struggle and changing of minds between the soon to be ex husband and wife. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at anytime.V/R,Emergency Plumbing & Solar
