Review: I cannot get an itemized bill for my deceased Father's charges during his last 3 months at Wilburn Gardens. His estate is owed adjustments for the time he spent in hospital, during which time he did not receive any meals, cleaning, or medical services from the assisted care facility. His rent was paid in advance, in full, for Aug. 2014 and Sep. 2014. He left Wilburn Gardens for the last time on 3 Sep., the keys were turned in on 27 Sep., yet I received bills for full monthly rent October and November 2014. My letters to [redacted] management have not been answered. Please see my attached letters for full explanation of rent dates involved.

The health issues are numerous. I believe my Father would still be alive if he had not been sent to the ER repeatedly for stress and disorientation caused by dehydration. I had been asking for the air conditioner in his room to be repaired for months, and had even talked to staff about it in 2013, without result. Wilburn Gardens failed to follow the low-sodium, diabetic diet prescribed by his cardiologist and GP. They failed to empty his colostomy bag when he requested it, causing him to have frequent leaks and inflamed skin on his abdomen. They allowed fecal waste in his bathroom and on his laundry to go uncleaned for days at a time.Desired Settlement: I want a full inspection of this facility and interviews of the staff, where they are allowed to give their observations anonymously.

For myself, I require an itemized bill showing deductions for the time my Father was in hospital, reflecting the amount already paid for August and September. Some furniture remained in the room until Oct. 4, because this was the first date available for the [redacted] to pick it up. Wilburn Gardens was given notice that my Father would not be returning in mid-September, so there can be no question of their not having been given 30 days notice.
