August 1st when I rented the room I was never shown itI was told I needed to rent it for the entire time and would received a call confirming the roomThe only time I saw the room was the day before the baby showerI paid on the second visit

Ms. [redacted] came to the YMCA on Friday, August 12, 2016 to voice her concerns about the space for her baby shower.  She came into my office where I was meeting with a member of my staff team.  I asked how I could help her.  She explained that she was scheduled to have a baby shower on...

the upcoming Sunday, August 14th and was unsatisfied with the room that was being provided to her. I inquired if she had viewed the room when she made her reservation and she claimed that she had not.  This is not true according to her own statement that she came in on Monday, August 1st (see her statement as well as the attached documentation showing her payment in full for the room) as well as the statements of two of my staff members.  One, Barbara Bass was the one who not only showed Ms. [redacted] the room, but also processed her payment.  The other, [redacted], is our Program Director of Camp and distinctly recalled Barb bringing Ms. [redacted] down to the space during camp.  So she, by her own statement and the statement of my two employees did see the room prior to making her payment.Additionally, we do not normally do baby showers on Sundays due to having a smaller staff team to do the set-up, cleaning, and take-down (all included in her rental fee), but because that was a date that worked for her, we made an exception.  Another exception was made in that we normally have a 2 1/2 hour minimum for the shower, but she assured us she would only need it for two hours (set-up to end of her event) and that is all she was charged as a customer courtesy.When she discussed the matter, she was very hostile and used profanity (even when politely asked to discontinue use of such language).  I explained to her that I would be more than happy to refund her money in full if she did not want to hold her event at the YMCA.  She explained that it was too late because invitations had already gone out to her guests. I was not unpleasant with her and have my employee as a witness to that despite her unreasonable demands.I know that the YMCA acted in good faith, Ms. [redacted] had seen the room on August 1st prior to making her payment and she had a clear understanding that there would be no discount of fees when she left my office on Friday because she was paying for the services and space she was promised.  She informed me on Friday as she was leaving Her event was held on Sunday with no incident or complaint.
