Emerson Garage Doors

Review: Emerson Garage Door company was sent via the rental property company that I rent from to replace the garage mount on the ceiling. When the repair man (the Owner or [redacted] arrived along with an assistant he was specifically asked if the 2 motorcycles in the garage needed to be moved. The owner replied no just move them back towards the garage door that was closed at this point. About 15min goes by and my husband and myself hear a huge bang and ran to the door the owner was in the process of picking up my motorcycle that was laying on its left side. As we were coming out the door the owner then stated something along the lines of " I don't know what happened it just fell over". I looked at my husband and we looked at the bike for a moment and went back inside the house. After the repair man left I went out to look more at my bike the rear fender had a good amount of damage. I then notified the local police. I was told that I can not file a criminal report because the repair man had permission to be on the premises however I had a right to file a civil suite. Before I explained to the office what had perceived to have occurred he stated to me "a bike doesn't just fall over the garage door was either opened or closed on the rear fender to cause it to fall." I notified the owner of the garage door company to obtain his insurance information he continued to tell myself and my husband that it just fell and he was not going to take responsibility for the damages. I was able to get the insurance information from the owner also the repair man and when I notified his insurance company they stated the claim number that was given to me was not valid. At that point either the owner gave me the incorrect information on purpose or accident or there is no insurance at all. At this point the company has been called multiple times and I have left voice messages and have yet to have a return call. I would not recommend this company for services.Desired Settlement: This company should be financially responsible for the damages that occurred during the service time. Even if it was an accident that is why a business should carry liability insurance. If he is not going to file a claim with his insurance then he can pay my insurance deductible. Either way responsibility needs to be taken accident or not.
