Emerson Northshore Apartments

in my experience in the 8 months living here has been nothing but unprofessionalism, understaffed, and unwillingness to do work. my wife and I started having issues with our A/C unit and as we where instructed to do we put in a maintaince request on there resident portal. we waited for about a week for them to come and fix the A/C unit and no one showed up. so we emailed the property manager and ask that she send someone out to come and fix it. we Never got a response from her and had to find from other residents of the complex that she no longer worked for this company. so It was almost 3 weeks of no air conditioning and having to call the office for more assistance. Mellisa was the first person we where able to contact about our issue. she very blatantly told us there was nothing they can do because they where not sending any maintenance into the apartments unless its an emergency. I then let mellisa know that It was an emergency and she said sorry there was nothing we can do about this. I asked for a window unit and she said that was not possible.I contacted the corporate office the same day and the corporate office had a maintenance man out the next day. the maintenance man put freon in the unit and left. it seemed to work for a few days but then we started having the same problems again. we contacted the office again and put a maintenance request in and it took over 2 weeks of us calling and begging for them to come and look at it again. No one shows up again, so we called the corporate office once again to get them to send someone out. they had someone come and and they didn't even come into the apartment they did something in the hallway and then left. it did not fix the problem. a short time after that my A/C condenser started leaking at an alarming rate and was flooding my closet so I called the emergency maintenance line and the guy who picked up was the guy we having been dealing with for maintenance every time. he ever so rudely told me there was nothing he could and that I needed to move everything out of the closet and mop It up and then proceeded to hang up on me. I had to call out of work and clean the flood out of the floor and throw away all of our paper products and some of my wife's make up because of the water damage. we waited almost a month for someone to come and look at this problem and mind you we still are without air conditioning. we had to let them know that we where going to hire a outside hire to fix the problem and charge It to the complex. the very quickly responded with we will have our regional maintenance supervisor who is head of all maintenance come out and look at it. he spent a few ours doing things to the A/C unit and then told my wife that our A/C is not going to go below 70 and there was nothing they can do about it. we continued to contact them about it until they sent an outside hire to come and fix this problem. the outside hire fixed the A/C unit within a few hours and was very friendly and worked fast. we found out that we are not the only one in this complex that is not only having issues with there air conditioning but also with the rude staff. the property manager has a very manipulative personality and has not apologized for any of his staffs actions and doesn't seem to care of all the trouble we have gone through at this horrible complex.
