Review: I purchased items I saw on a commercial on TV. I called the number listed and was told that to avoid shipping and handling charges I would need to order additional items. I added an item and the total cost was about 42.95. When the items arrived I was not satisfied with the product. It was not sturdy and did not work for me so I returned it on the second day after receiving it. I paid to have it mail and the cost was 4.16 paid to the USPS. The item was received and when they credited my account they deducted 6.85 for shipping. I explained to them that I paid for shipping and the items were delivered without shipping charges. They can view their invoice to see there were no shipping and handling fees. I requested the refund of 6.85 but they refused saying it was for shipping. I have my receipt for the shipping. The company has one head office and they distribute out of another office in California. I made several calls to the HQ but they keep refering me to the website to send a message and I did that and without any solutions. I would like this matter to be investigated. It is the principal of the matter and not the amount due. They had no right to withhold money for shipping.Desired Settlement: To receive a credit of 6.85 to my account.

Attached please find a copy of our letter to you dated October **, 2013 requesting information where to forward our check in the amount of $6.85. We have not heard from you.
As stated before our company policy is that we do not reimburse shipping and handling costs for returned items.
As a gesture of good will we will reimburse [redacted] the $6.85 that she has requested. Attached please find a copy of said check that has been sent to [redacted] directly.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
The check from Emjoi was received in December after they agreed to settle in October. I finally can close this case.
