I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
ID#***In response to the letter from Joe G*** there are several things wrong. The biggest reason I had to call another plumbing in the first place was Joe could NOT get the new faucets to stop leaking so I had to call a new plumber (which he told me I had to do) and when they got there they were able to set the vanity top on correctly with no problem at allThere were no ugly pieces of plywood (that was the only way Joe could get the top of the vanity level) that were glued with liquid nail under the topIt is now flush and level with the wall and that big gap is gone so I am happy. With issue #- Don't you think that if Joe had positioned the top on as in photo #in the first place that I would have been happy????See before and after photos attached(I have since painted the cabinet gray)On His #one issue -he did NOT clear a drainSee his issue #where he says there was a problem with the old drain line that he could not fixHe told me I would have to get a plumber to do this.On issue #- that is when he told me he was not a plumber and that I would have to get a plumber to connect the new drains to the old drainsHe did go and get parts (which I also paid him for) but he still was notable to get the leaks stoppedIf he was a plumber he would have known how to connect new drains with old drainsWhen you are replacing things you know there are going to be old partsHe also cracked the top of one of the new drain pipe connections or caulk connections like you are suppose to which also caused a lot of the leaking problems. On issue #- I only agreed to the trim piece because I didn't want to look at that ugly plywood piecesAt that point I didn't know there was a better way of doing it.On issue #- It was not the wrong sized vanity top as you can see in photo #He just didn't know what he was doing.I'm sorry that he spent as much time as he did but he should not take on a job he is not capable of doingThis should be a learning experience for him on how it should be doneI was paying him for correctly installing a new vanity top and new faucets that should actually work and not leak which he did not do.I should not have to pay someone else to get the job done he was paid to doIf someone

I stand my my original response.Any further comment is not necessary. The problems arose because the counter top did not fit correctly.

December 14, 2017Sorry for my delay in responding. I have been extremely busy lately due to the holiday season remodeling I am Completing. The real issue with this customer is that she bought a vanity that did not fit correctly on her old vanity. When I arrived to complete the work that she wanted...

l:Took out the old faucets. Found that one of the drains was 90% clogged.| cleared that drain.Next, took off the old vanity top and sinks.then proceeded to unwrap the new countertop. | Set the Countertop on top of her vanity. This is when we discovered that the new countertop did not fit correctly on the vanity. I adjusted it three or four different ways before the customer final decided which option, although none of them was going to leave the vanity without a gap between the vanity and countertop, she liked best. At this point, there was no gap between the backsplash of the Counter and the wall.then proceeded to install the two new faucets. When installing the new faucets, I discovered that we did not have the correct drain length to connect to her old drains, so I went to Lowe's to find extension pipes. Upon returning from Lowe's, the customer said that she wanted a trim piece installed in the front of the vanity to 'mask' the gap that was left due to the countertop not fitting correctly. I told her that I would complete the installation of the faucets and would come back another day to install the trim piece. She said she was okay with that. A week later I show up with the trim piece and she says that it is not needed, that she called a plumber as suggested she should because there was an issue with her old drain line that I could not fix. Supposedly, this plumber came up with the suggestion to reset the countertop in one of the positions that I had shown the customer. However, this option left the countertop at least three eights of an inch from the back wall. (When I previously showed the customer this solution she said that she did not like the gap between the counter and the wall.)10) Next, the customer said she wanted all of her money back.' 11) explained that this was not going to happen since I had spent so much time trying to set theCountertop in a position that she liked in my previous attempt.12) You can see that I had spent a considerable amount of time on this job, dealing with issues thatrelated to clogged drains and wrong sized countertop.13) Just to placate her concerns, I said that I would refund her $150.00. 14) I did this because I felt sorry for her as she repeatedly addressed her financial status, notbecause I felt I was in the wrong.C
