The AC unit has went out about 3-4 times and they have came and patched it up. Finally I guess the unit went completely out.The complex has had us in unsafe conditions for over a month now. We have not had Central AC for over a month. After 3 weeks of us being in the apartment with no AC and complaining they finally provided a window AC unit in one of our rooms. This was a solution for one room but the other room is still extremely hot and the living room gets around 89-90 degrees everyday. Oh and dont let me forget to mention the increase in our power bill because of the window unit having to constantly stay on all day. So we have been complaining for forever now and we are getting the same answer " we ordered it we will be putting the unit in in two days". On top of all this we still had to pay full price rent after being swamped with no AC in the middle of the summer.Product_Or_Service: rentingDesired SettlementThey could resolve this issue by refunded out rent for the month since the amenities we pay for were not provided. Also some money toward the power bill we should not be stuck with paying extra when this isn't our issue.Business Response To whom this may concern:August, I accepted the position as the Property Manager of Emory Woods, and upon my arrival taking place was the transitioning of maintenance personnel. On August 22, 2016 there was a maintenance request from the resident of [redacted] regarding the AC not cooling properly. Our maintenance technician inspected, was unable to repair, and reported that a replacement was needed. Due to the limited amount of window units on hand, we were able to accommodate the residents with one window unit, until the installation of the AC unit. The resident requested a second window unit, and I explained at the time we were unable to meet that request, but offered a fan to assist with cooling. The new unit was scheduled to be installed on September 13, 2016. Upon the maintenance supervisor's return to work on 9/14/16, he repaired the unit and was able to resolve the issue. On September 16, 2016 I confirmed with the residents when they stopped by to pick up a package if the AC was cooling properly, and the response was yes.
