This business has no ethical standards whatsoever, employees are told to sell no matter what the customers financial needs are...I feel that their practices are unethical, immoral and will do anything to get a sale......Their practices basically invade the privacy of homeowners and they harass the said customers until they get the sale

I have reviewed the response made
by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When I called *** at my 1st suspicion that this company is sending out collections fraudulently and keeping any moneys sent to them by folks that don't know any better, *** told me they had not sent my account to collections and my name was not associated with any over due debts. Therefore, I'd like to know the details as to why my name and address were on a collection notice. I assume it's because Empereon Marketing/*** *** *** is fishing for unsuspecting people who will send in their money without questioning the fraudulent attempt to collect a non-existent debt. It's a perfect crime as if the person complains then they just say, "So sorry, it's not your debt. We'll contact *** and you can consider the issue resolved" and everybody moves on with their lives. I think this company should be audited to see if in fact they are perpetrating fraud and collecting money illegally form unsuspecting people who don't know any better. What are the safeguards to protect "customers" like myself?
Regards,
*** ***

Ms*** letter has been mailed, if there is a fax or email address she would like us to use, please forward this information to our officeOur initial payment arrangement letter includes a month payment plan, once the payment plan is completed Constar will provide a current payment letter for the next months
Thank you

Constar Financial Services, LLC disputes the allegations made by Ms*** in this complaint. At no time did Constar ever state or allude to that the debt for which we were collecting was based on a contract between Ms
*** and Constar. The debt is owed to our client, Harley -Davidson and attached is the “Promissory Note and Security Agreement” that was executed by her on April 13, This account has been closed and returned to Harley-DavidsonJoe A*** CCCO,CRCP,CIA Chief Compliance Officer Constar Financial Services LLC

I was able to speak with cox and confirm that this company does perform their collections. My account was never in default but was sent to collections due to my change in account from moving my services to my new apartment. I'm addressing this with them.
I confirmed the money was sent to Cox and allowed Cox to retain it once I understood what it was for. Cox read the notes on my account from this company which said that I had authorized payment through my card on file.
I did not provide permission for that transaction before it was administered. Had I authorized, the amount said to me on the phone was different than the charge itself. I told the representative for this company that he did not have enough knowledge about me or my account for me to feel comfortable paying. He said "so you don't want to pay" and I said that was right and to get him off the phone I stated I would check my online records and call him back if needed.
It is not legal to take unauthorized payments. The representative from this company told me they didn't even have my credit card information, and did no represent himself. I would like this representative reprimanded or to go through some sort of training.
I would also like the audio recording from my telephone call to provide to cox as I look in to canceling my contract due to this 3rd party vendor.
