In response to the customers complaint
Audi A4 with 128,miles
purchased by the buyer on
3/19/
For the amount of $
Empire Auto LLC is a wholesale auto facility which offers great prices for quality used vehicles The vehicle mentioned above is a owner Audi dealer travehicle which was obtained by us and was advertised for a great price of $ Buyer responded to the ad and came with spouse and son The gentleman looked over the entire vehicle throughout. Contesting his knowledge of Sabs which he drives the gentleman had prior knowledge about automobiles he says. Upon looking over the entire vehicle and a test drive the buyer specifically asked about our warranty. Was told by the salesman that all sales are “AS IS”. We cannot offer such low prices and have a warranty. Was also jokingly told that the Audi dealer will gladly sell you the same exact vehicle for $the market value and offer you the warranty. Then again, with 128k miles all vehicles are sold “AS IS”. The KBB.com private is over $and dealer at least that…
Upon further negotiations $was the super reasonable price settled upon The buyer was notified the vehicle was just obtained the prior day and we didn’t even have a title for it. Title should be received within a few days. Having no title for the vehicle, as a receipt the buyer was handed part of “Empire Auto’s” PERSONAL dealer sales slips. Aside from the cars info and Vin# it contains little boxes which were checked “AS IS” and “Yellow Light”. This paperwork is not intended as a sales receipt but sometimes the only thing we have for a vehicle containing the VIN# at the moment. A deposit for the car was left
or days later the woman oddly calls me and specifically only asks me about the meaning of the “Yellow Light” which was checked off on the copy given to her. She was explained that this paperwork is not intended for the buyer. This is our personal buyer slip. “All vehicles which are sold to us with over 100k miles are sold “AS IS” and the 2nd box “Yellow Light” means that there is an announcement with the vehicle. That announcement is that the title did not come with the car that day.
days later after receiving the title, the buyer was notified and deposited the funds in to the dealerships account. The car was then taken for a NY State inspection which it passed. Then the car was registered and plated for the buyer as agreed upon. The buyer left satisfied with the vehicle around 5pm. The following morning around 9:20am I get a call from the lady stating that the car didn’t make it home and they got stuck about miles away. My first response was “Why would you call the following day???” And not when it happened…She said she didn’t want to bother me that late… I find that very strange when they live miles away and she left around 5pm. Her reply was they figured it just needed a boost they would come back the following morning
I am not a mechanic but have many years experience with automobiles. This particular vehicle was personally inspected and driven by me for over miles. Considering it’s a owner year old car with a 128,xxx miles. Has a clean carfax, has Audi dealer service recordsThe way it was kept and the way it drove, aside from minor regular maintenance I would consider it in above average condition for the year and miles
For a perfectly running vehicle which just passed a NY State inspection. Had absolutely no “Check engine lights” on the dashboard all of a sudden just die on the side of the road without any warnings. This was very strange to me. Also a call on the following morning and not the same day. Hmmmmmmm…
She was nicely told that unfortunately the only thing we can offer is advice….. Everything about the whole situation felt really strange and abnormal… purchased by the buyer on 3/19/
Why get an estimate from an Audi dealer in excess off $6,when you didn’t buy the car there

Review: ON 3/19 I PURCHASED A 2006 AUDI A4 USED VEHICLE" AS IS" FROM THE ABOVE COMPANY THROUGH AN EMPLOYEE [redacted] AT THE LOCATION OF [redacted] . THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD FOR $6200.00 PAID INTO HIS BANK ACCOUNT IN CERTIFIED FUNDS. THERE WAS A YELLOW LIGHT CAUTION ON THE PAPERWORK HE PROVIDED ME AND UPON ASKING HIM WHAT IT MEANT HE TOLD ME IT WAS TYPICAL AND RELATED TO HIM RECEIVING THE TITLE WHICH HE HAD. HE ASSURED ME IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY MECHANICAL ISSUE WITH THE CAR.MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND TOOK POSSESION OF THE CAR AND LEFT BROOKLYN TO DRIVE TO OUR HOME IN OCEANSIDE APPROX 18 MILES OR LESS. A MILE BEFORE OUR HOUSE THE CAR SHUT DOWN ON THE ROAD AND HAD TO BE PULLED TO THE SIDE AND TOWED THE NEXT DAY TO AN AUDI SERVICE DEALER. I NOTIFIED [redacted] WHO SAID HE COULD NOT HELP ME AND REFERRED ME TO HIS BOSS [redacted] WHO REFUSED TO GIVE ME HIS NAME OR TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY RE THIS ISSUE. I AM WAITING FOR A FINAL ESTIMATE FOR THE VEHICLE BUT THE LABOR AND PARTS IS IN EXCESS OF $6000.THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE WAT TO OPERATE A BUSINESS AND THERE IS FAILURE TO DISCLOSE A HUGE MECHANICAL TO A CONSUMER.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE A REFUND AND OR SETTLEMENT OF COSTS INVOLVED TO REPAIR THIS VEHICLE WHICH COST $6200 AND DID NOT DRIVE FOR 15 MILES AFTER PURCHASE.

For the amount of $6200

Empire Auto LLC is a wholesale auto facility which offers great prices for quality used vehicles. The vehicle mentioned above is a 1 owner Audi dealer trade-in vehicle which was obtained by us and was advertised for a great price of $6700. Buyer responded to the ad and came with spouse and son. The gentleman looked over the entire vehicle throughout. Was also jokingly told that the Audi dealer will gladly sell you the same exact vehicle for $8600 the market value and offer you the warranty. Then again, with 128k miles all vehicles are sold “AS IS”. The KBB.com private is over $7500 and dealer at least that…

Considering it’s a 1 owner 8 year old car with a 128,xxx miles. Has a clean carfax, has Audi dealer service records.
