This unit was towed using dollies and no wheels ever touched the ground! I told customer if we damaged her car we would pay the damages! We did not damage her car and I road tested the car and it does not grind or thump, it makes a rumble sound and I showed her that her muffler was loose! The unit drives fine and shifts fine and only makes noise when you make sharp turns left or right! It sounds like either the muffler or shocks are loose ! We will not pay for damages we didn't cause!

These people are so nasty to the customers stating from the front desk staff to the owner. I just picked up my car on 04/26/2018 my car was repossessed on 4/24/2018. I had personal belongings in the car such as money with was $400.00. when I go to pick up my car to get my ID they wouldn't let me go so I gave them my keys to bring my car around. when she comes back with my ID. I went to the car one of the guys was putting the plates back on the car. when I go inside my car my $400.00 was missing. I went back inside to let them know it was missing and they just head their heads down and not speaking and after that one of the girls stood up and said that everyone that comes here accuses them of stealing things of their vehicles. that's when the owner came and he started cursing me out and telling me to leave and stop accusing his employees, he told me that happened to me because I didn't pay my car. I called the cops and they gave me the report and I am gonna take them to court. you guys are the worst company ever. and from what I see this is not the first time that they steal from their customers.

These people are NASTY! They made a bad situation worse by being verbally abusive "it's not our fault you got yourself into this, now you have to pay to get out of it". My car was repossessed, by MISTAKE and they closed early so I couldn't pick it up. They refused to give me directions to the local DMV when I called, they damaged my vehicle and stole sunglasses out of it! I had to pay $160.00 for a taxi to to me there to be told it was too late (they knew I was coming)! They the next day when I went back to pick up the car, they drove it with 6" of snow/ice on the windshield...They guy was hanging out the window!!! When I told the girl she said "he didn't hit anything did he?" NO BUT HE BROKE THE LAW!!!

Review: Company towed my car and upon pick up the car had damages. Company [redacted] named [redacted], indicated that he would pay for any repairs once I had the dealer inspect the car. Once I forward the inspection estimate bill of $2,290 the company is stating they will not honor their agreement. Indicating that they properly towed my vehicle and had pictures with date and times stamped in them. After I requested their proof of doing so they have not gotten back to me. I am very upset because my was in excellent conditions and know my car is not working once I picked it up at the towing companys lot.Desired Settlement: I would only liked my car to be serviced for the damaged occured once it was towed.

Review: I am filling a complaint against this company because of the run around they've been giving about a repossessed vehicle, I contacted the bank that issued the loan and work out a deal. so they give their number to contact them due to the fact they were the one's that towed the vehicle, then To find out the plate had been submitted to the motor vehicle not to mention I paid them$150 for so call storage fee. I am requesting of them to fax me a receipt confirming that they issued the plate to DMV, I am getting lots of run around from them & I am being hung up on when I call & confront them about the situation. So can somebody do something before I take it to the press?Desired Settlement: I need them to contact with a receipt from the MOTOR VEHICLE DEPARTMENT

Response:

We returned the license plates to NYS Department of Motor Vehicles as required by the NYS DMV VTL. The loan is not in his name and he was very rude and nasty to my employees and used vulgar language. He has never called for us to fax or email a receipt to him or we would have done so as soon as we received it back from the DMV. We received his place receipt on 8-**-15 and we are emailing now.

Review: Last Tuesday October [redacted] 20015 my vehicle was picked up by Empire Auto Recovery. Because of the location of my car they were not able to pick the vehicle up without damaging it so I was more than willing to cooperate with the driver to insure the safety of my vehicle. I issued them the key at which point one of the repo men got in and drove my vehicle down the block where it was then loaded onto the truck. Today, November [redacted] 2015, after clearing all my accounts on the loan of the vehicle I went to Empire Auto Recovery. I had spoken with them the day before(Tuesday November [redacted])and the woman on the phone seemed unknowledgeable and came off with a lack luster demeanor who told me the operating hours were from 8:30am to 4pm and that my vehicle could be picked up anytime in between. As recommended by an Asset Recovery Staff, I requested to make an appointment however the receptionist told me that no such appointment was necessary and to just come in any time to pick up the vehicle. I arrived approximately 1:23pm this afternoon. Upon arrival into the facility I was told by a receptionist that the facility was closed from 1-2pm undoubtedly for lunch. Now I had to wait and waste my time until 2pm. At 2pm I gave the receptionist all the information and paid to the facility what was owed to them, including a 50$ redemption fee of my own personal belongings. I was issued my receipt and awaited outside for my vehicle to be brought out. When my vehicle was delivered, I went looking through it to ensure that all my belongings remained and of course this was not the case. My Sony Cybershot DSC-HX300 SLR camera was missing from the vehicle. I proceeded into the facility once again to address the issues and was told that based on their photographs, there was no evidence of the camera being present in the vehicle. However the time code present with the photograph read "8:05am". My vehicle was picked up approximately 5:15am. A time span of almost 3 hours before the vehicle was received onto their facility. By 3 different mapping apps on a smartphone the longest route from my home to [redacted] without the use of highways(because I knew already that tow trucks cannot use the belt parkway) was1 hour and 17 minutes. After using [redacted] and scheduling such trip for 5am traffic, it was determined that even in traffic the voyage would take no longer than 2 hours and 6 minutes. A lot of time unaccounted for. None the less they insisted that because they'd been in business over 20 years that theft has never occurred(which is a false claim as seen by Revdex.com customer complaints). similar occurrences have happened with this same business. The camera was left in a specific location in the vehicle because of its value so it is always placed in the travel bag and places in the rear of the passenger side seat. The business still insists that the vehicle traveled directly from my property to their own with no interaction with the car. When I first was informed of the 50$ fee for my items I was not going to pay it until I realized the camera was still with the vehicle. I paid 50$ for all of my items to be returned to me and frankly it is no coincidence that the most valuable item in the vehicle is what went missing. After speaking to the Asset Recovery location that hired Empire Auto Recovery I was told that Honda requires the companies to "bag and tag" or take inventory of each item in the car. When I requested the list of inventory taken from my car nothing was on it. Inside my vehicle was Versace cologne, a beats auxiliary cord, cleaning products, clothes, the SLR camera, an Armani watch, a [redacted] gen ipod touch, a jack and the spare tire. None of which was reflected onto their inventory of the car.Desired Settlement: I wanted the item that went missing under their supervision of my vehicle to be accounted for. As shown on best buy website where the camera was originally purchased the regular price of the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX300 model is $499.99 which is the price I paid without tax, insurance fees, and the cost of the memory card which is now on sale for $7.99 on best buy's website. Currently the SLR camera model is on sale for $279.99. A difference of roughly $220. All I ask is that the item missing from my vehicle be produced to me or that it be compensated for.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE DRIVER NEVER DAMAGED THE CAR IN ANYWAY WHATSOEVER. THE CUSTOMER CAME OUT OF THE HOUSE AND ASKED TO GET PROPERTY OUT OF VEHICLE WHICH HE THE TOOK 2 BAGS OUT OF THE BACK SEAT! HE GAVE DRIVER THE KEY FOR THE CAR AND THEY DROVE IT DOWN THE BLOCK TO SECURE IT TO TOW TRUCK! AT NO TIME WAS THE UNIT SCRAPED ON THE GROUND IN ANY WAY. THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED AS THE TAGS WERE TURNED IN AND UNIT WAS NOT BEING DRIVEN! WHY WOULD THE CUSTOMER REMOVE 2 BAGS OF PROPERTY AND LEAVE A $500 CAMERA! OH AND BY THE WAY THE STORAGE AND REDEMPTION FEES WERE $510. COINCIDENCE I DONT THINK SO! CUSTOMER WAS TOLD AS IS EVERYONE THAT REDEMPTION HOURS ARE 8:30-4pm AND WE ARE CLOSED FOR LUNCH BETWEEN ONE AND TWO PM HE WAS ALSO TOLD AS PER HONDA FINANCE THAT SINCE HE COULD NOT REGISTER THE CAR HE HAD TO BRING A LEGITIMATE TOW COMPANY TO TOW CAR FROM OUR YARD, SAID TOW COMPANY CAME AT 5:30 AND ALL PERSONELL WENT HOME! CUSTOMER LOOKED OVER CAR AND SAW NO DAMAGE WHATSOVER EXCEPT FOR WHEN HE HAD IT TOWED BACK HOME AND ONLY NOW COMPLAINS OF DAMAGE! I GUESS WHOEVER TOWED IT TO HIS HOUSE SCRATCHED THE BUMPER! THANK YOU

Review: On December **, 2013 I arrived at Empire Auto Recovery and paid $50 cash to retrieve my possessions from the car and give them the key. They assured me that everything would be removed from the car and I would receive all of my property. They would not allow me to check the car to see if everything was removed and I asked the gentleman who gave me my items is my club in the bag. He said yes when I checked the bag when I got home it was not their. I called and asked could it be shipped to me and they said no. Since I paid $50 cash I feel like their end of the bargain was not fulfilled and they received payment and I am missing a club.Desired Settlement: I would like my property which is the club mailed to me or my money back.
