EMPIRE CLEANERS

Review: I took my husband's suit (pants and jacket) to be dry-cleaned. The man behind the desk checked the pants for the zipper repair, there were no marks, rips or a hole in the pants at that time. The pants to this suit needed the zipper replaced. I paid for the cleaning of the suit and the zipper replaced. When my husband went to wear the suit he found that there were major noticeable snags in the trouser area of the pant near the zipper and large hole in the upper trouser area. These holes were not there went I took the pants to be cleaned or the zipper replaced. The man who checked for the zipper and I would have noticed this at that time. The damage is so severe that these pants can not be worn making the use of this suit useless. I took the suit back to the cleaners and asked them about this damage. The girl at the desk said she could do nothing without my receipt for the cleaning. I left the suit and my phone number. I went back to the cleaners today. I am told they will do nothing to compensate me. The girl at the cleaners pointed a rip on the side of the pants. I told her that my husband could still have worn these pants with that rip. That rip is at seam and can be repaired. The suit cannot be used now with the major snags in the material and the hole in the trousers are too big and noticeable. I told her I would never have had this zipper replaced and the suit cleaned if these damages were there prior to my leaving this suit with them for the zipper repair and the cleaning of the suit. The girl at the cleaners said this was weak material. I left the business informing her they have loss my business.Desired Settlement: I think I should be reimbursed for the cost of replacing a useless zipper ($7.00), the cost I paid for cleaning a damaged suit ($20.00) and the cost to replace this suit ($150.00) that is now useless. Empire Cleaners ruined this suit.
