Great company to work with. Communicated very well, quality workmanship and cleaned up after themselves. Service after the fact has been awesome!
Empire Fencing. We were at the Home and Garden Show. We inquired about fencing. We were given a price of 2200 to 2500 for 55 feet of fence by one salesman. Tuesday Morning the supposed manager KC came out and measured the fence. We were told at the Home and Garden Show that all the different Aluminum fence panels were the same price. The manager measured, we came inside our house and made it clear what we wanted. Later that night I got a Text with a price of 4050.00 from KC. Real Salespeople, especially a so called Manager should call. Today Wednesday 2/13/2019 I get a text asking if we were going to go with them. I text back and forth with him for 5 or 6 texts. KC kept changing the price and did not have his facts straight. I called the phone number to the supposed office in Waverly, and the recording said, this number is not in service. Pretty suspicious, and never once did KC call. He had our phone number. Pretty Poor Salesman. I think they are a shade tree company. Just a FYI.
We called this customer and apologized for the misunderstanding. We also explained to him that at the show we had a few field guys there working as we try to keep guys busy so everyone gets a paycheck (during this harsh winter), and they might have misspoke on the prices. We didn't text a price to this customer we emailed it and he did say he received the email. He also didn't notice that the price of 4050.00 was before we gave him a nice discount. He did admit that he added some footage to the original bid. We did not try and win him over we just wanted to let him know we apologize for the misunderstanding. I felt we had a very good conversation.
The sales manager was at the booth. He was more interested in telling us how he got the job with Empire Fence. KC is his name and told us he was the Sales Manager for the company. That he was going to make sure we got the best deal. Matt the owner keeps telling you at Revdex.com that he was working men at the booth. Well he should have trained them. Bottom line was they never were Professional enough to call me. They just kept emailing me. They had my phone number. Matt the owner did finally call me after I left reviews of how unprofessional they were. Matt started to tell me about how I was wrong and gave me excuses. Matt the owner should have been less defensive and tried to find out how he might be able to salvage this sale. Matt did not. Very poor Owner for putting his excuses in for his Sales Manager's mistake than trying to make the sale. I would never recommend Empire Fence to anyone.
Matt the owner has done nothing but call and try to make it look like it was not their fault. Poor Owner/Manager. Matt could have called us and said, I want to see what we can do to rectify this. Matt just called and put most of the blame on us. I don't think Empire Fence Company is well structured and by no means able to use excuses they do.
We called and asked for someone to come out and give us an estimate. Called again and again. Finally someone comes out. Called to get the quote sent to us. Called again and again. Finally get the quote. Called for a sample product. Called again and again. Product dropped at our front door. Great! So we call to get on the schedule to have our fence built. Called again and again. A few times my husband actually got the guy and the guy would always say, "I'm busy, can you call me back?" After about 5 more messages left, we gave up. Not interested in dealing with this company, can't even beg to get a fence built. HORRIBLE customer service. We've never seen anything like it. I tell my story to anyone that will listen....
