This all started back in SeptemberMy wife has degenerative disks in her lower back and was having major back pain so we decided to look into the Laser Spine InstituteWe were under the impression, with multiple e-mail confirmations, that there would be a $deposit prior to meeting with the surgeon and a $up-front fee if we decided to go through with the surgeryA couple of major problems I am concerned with about their business, is they tried to have the surgery the same day as the consultation with the surgeonWith such a large decision to make, they tried to only give my wife a few hours to decide to go through with this surgerySo we decided it would be best not to go through with the surgery and just said "no"I walked up to the front desk afterward and asked them if we owed any other payments, they politely said we didn'tFast forward nine months later and I receive a bill in the mailThey charged my wife's insurance nearly $1,dollars for something I can't get a straight answer forThey are claiming it's the office visit, but we covered that with the deposit (again, multiple e-mail conversations with them confirm this)I completely disagree with how this was handled and the way they used my wife as a money poolI now understand the difference between business' that prioritize profit over the well-being of their patients
