First we at Empire Moving and Storage Inc would like to thank MrIbrahim Jalal for selecting us for their cross country moveWe would now like to address the claim/critique made by the consumer and also list our individual rebuttal for our Revdex.com and the public to addressIn closing, we will restate the Consumers Desired Resolution and commenting what we feel is fair in responseWe want this complaint against our company to be resolved.We have reviewed the calls between the customer and our representative [redacted] ***Every item named to our representative was listed on the initial estimateHowever, when we arrive at the home for loading of the job there were additional items that were not named to our representative initiallyWe ship based on space used and extra space was needed because of the additional items and packing of itemsSometimes when items are packed properly that can become a little more bulkyWhen the need for more space was realized we did consult with the customer and did not penalize the customer with an inflated rate the additional space that was neededWe offered the same binding price per cu ft for the additional space that was neededWe do require a guaranteed form of funds to be paid to our driver before the unloading of a jobThis is in our contract and is signed and agreed by our customersWe are allowing MrIbrahim Jalal to file a claim for the damages of his items and he will be reimbursed once the claim is received back from him and is analyzedThe missing items have been located and are being shipped by Fthis weekWe will notify the customer directly through email when this happensWe feel we have done our contracted job and the client will not only be able to file a claim for the damaged items, but will also be receiving the items that were not shipped initially, very soonBecause of our interaction with the customers requests that this complaint will be resolved fully

Yes my items finally arrivedThis company should not be allowed to continue the businessThe are very untrustworthy and they lie on a daily basisThey are not giving their customers the care they deserve

[redacted] says that he never requested storage but we have a signed contract that has days free storage listed on itThe reason why is because as stated, [redacted] did not know his delivery address until the date of the pick upIn the beginning he was not sure when he would know that address so we had to prepare for worse case scenario that he might not know until a week or so after pick up and this is the reason why he was set for our days free storageWe do not offer days free storage because it is fun or because it is cheapWe only do it when we must and when we are trying to be competitive in the industryAs stated by [redacted] " However the address was provided to Empire moving on the day the goods were being packed Sep 26th with the request of the delivery date of Oct 3rd (Attached re-estimate.pdf has the proof)The re-estimate says that he did indeed update us on pick up day of the address but before that we did not knowIt took him quite awhile to get us this very important information [redacted] did indeed send us our required LDF form verifying the delivery address but could not receive the items until Oct3rd which was days after pick up and we could not immediately load him form delivery at that timeWe provided the delayed delivery of days to [redacted] at no additional charge to him but we were not able to actually deliver until days later instead of the We are sorry for this but we did try our very bestWe would like to know who the other customer are that [redacted] knows who are facing these same issues with our companyWhat are questing whether he actually knows these people or is just picking out the few bad reviews that we have online and pretending to know those peopleWe will allow [redacted] to post any of those customers names and also influence them to please post their opinion to our Revdex.com page so that we can shed light on what the actual situation is in regardEveryone knows that there are sides to every storyWe are concerned to see whether or not [redacted] was rude to you at any pointPlease send over the screenshots that you have so that they can be posted to our Revdex.com publiclyWe will look into refunding you on a per day basis but your reviews that have been posted to the public are not accurate and we wish for those to be removedYou have posted several reviews about us and have asked for compensation on other occasionsWe are will to work with you but we will not compensate a customer just to be slandered online

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:1) I have made it clear that the only time I requested storage was during binding estimateI have attached proofs of the original committed date of Oct 3rd right from the day of packing.2) The company picked up the goods on Sep 26th and delivered it on Nov 19th (days to deliver goods from origin to destination)During this time they did provide me any updates on the ETA for my goodsAttached email in my previous mail is proof.3) Rather than justifying their actions hope they improve their customer service and reduce the transit time for goodsTaking months to deliver the goods of a customer and justifying that is a jokeI have endured the pain of living out of a suitcase for months with family and young kidsI sincerely hope my reviews can influence at least some customers make a more informed decision in choosing a moving companyEverything stated by me is true and I will not change the facts stated for a few dollars of compensation.Sincerely, [redacted]

We have spoken to the customer and went over her concerns in what exactly happenedWe came to a fair amount of reimbursement of $- The customer has agreed and is happy with this outcome

We would first like to thank Mr [redacted] for choosing Empire Moving and Storage Inc for his long distance moving needsNo company is perfect and we did have some mishaps during the process of Mr***s moveThere was an overload of cuft space because of extra items that [redacted] needed us to move at the pick upMr [redacted] seemed to fully understand this on the date of the pick up and was not seemingly upsetWe did discount his storage charge for military and we did do everything that we were contracted to doMr [redacted] was upset on the delivery time frame and we believe that a large majority of this review and his criticism of our operations stemmed from thatThere were some damages itemsWe asked Mr [redacted] to please send us a claims form that detailed what those items were so that we can verify and then begin the process to reimburseWe have found the ladder and it will be shippedMr [redacted] understands the process of our claims dept and has no reason to be critical of us in regard to that processIt can sometime take time but we always reimburse our customer for any of our company's wrongdoingWe would like to know what Mr [redacted] expects us to do going forwardWe can send the ladder and we will compensate for the damages, but it will be majority at a .60cents per pound optionWe would like more input from the customer especially in regard to what exact items are missing that are supposedly valued at over $2,878.010.......................Please advise

This customer was aware that we were going to mail her a check in refund for her deposit amount so we are very confused about this complaintThe post office can verify when it was picked up and we also have proof to verify that it was mailed on Oct6th and should be arriving soonSorry for the confusion

In the beginning this job was booked with this inventory list that the customer claimed to be accurate, which she signed to verify QtyItemsCuFt**1BED, QUEEN (WITH MATTRESS)65QtyItemsCuFt**100BOX, MED/LG PBO 18X18X24500QtyItemsCuFt**1CHAIR, ARMA deposit was put down on the move of an amount of $dollars and at that point the move seemed very "cut & dry' and simpleUntil our driver arrived at the job and this is when the customer wanted to cancel Here are our drivers notes he made when he arrived at the pick up [redacted] : UPON ARRIVAL CUSTOMER DID NOT HAVE ONLY THE ITEMS ON ORIGINAL INVENTORYCUSTOMER NOW HAD BOXES, BOOKSHELVES, BIKE, LADDER UPON OTHER ADDTL ITEMSI ADVISED CUSTOMER I WOULD TAKE ITEMS BUT FIRST HAD TO DO A REVISED ESTIMATECUSTOMER INFORMED ME THAT SHE DID NOT HAVE A DIME MORE TO PAY FOR THE MOVE BUT WANTED TO TAKE ALL ITEMSSHE ALSO NEEDED A SHUTTLE TRUCK SERVICE AT DELIVERY, BECAUSE OF LIMITED PARKING FOR THE DELIVERYI RECOMMENDED THAT WE COULD OFFER LIMITED FREE STORAGE THEN DELIVERY TO A STORAGE UNIT OF HER CHOICE AT DESTINATION (ONCE SHE HAD TIME TO FIND IT) FOR FREE ASSUMING THAT IT WAS TRACTOR TRAILER ACCESSIBLECUSTOMER REFUSED AND DID NOT WANT TO WORK WITH USWE EVEN AGREED TO TRANSPORT THE SAME ORIGINAL LIST ABOVE FOR THE SAME QUOTED PRICE BUT ALL THE ADDITIONAL ITEMS WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GO SINCE WE WERE NEVER AWARE OF THEMTHIS SOLUTION DID NOT WORK EITHER When a customer cancels in this fashion and is not willing to work with the company whatsoever and their inventory is so inaccurate according to what we were told in the beginningWe expect some patience in getting them the refundAt first ownership did not agree that the full refund should even be given considering the fact that we were given inaccurate informationEventually we agreed and the customer will now be getting her full refundHowever this complaint being filed against us makes no sense because we have been in contact with the customer and only wanted her to be fair with us about the situation and our wasted time trying to come to a solution with herShe was not willing to come to a solution with us even after multiple attempts on the date of the move TRACKING: [redacted] ***SENT THROUGH *** SERVICE

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The vendor does not respond to my request to return what item, they have I had paid Empire an extra to store and secure my shipment at there facilityThis did not happen!I had also sent them my missing items list as in the file I have added showsThey said they never received itVanessa had told me they had The driver as you can see from my photos at at the time delivery was pulling my contents from both sides of other shipped loads with just a ratchet strap as separation between loads, items were mixed with other shipmentsItems were broken and rolling around from different shipments How could they control inventory like this? I even helped in my own download because only one person showed up to help unload till we were half way done .For this service I was charged a distance fee for m the driver as per my file form providedNot even an Empire formThe helpers said they did not receive anything from the driver, I hve called many times as you can see from my call log as highlightedTalking to supervisor and receptionists they never attempted to send my property as many times as they said they wouldThe company Empire is totally responsible for the items listed.Total for move was over 5,Missing items made up more then half of moves costsEmpire expects me to to adsorb this costEven though it was their inability to provide as service as promisedEmpire said said in their rebuttal ( we always reimburse our customers for any of our company's wrongdoing.) All of these items did not just fall off of the truck? f I am waiting for empire to make good Sincerely, [redacted] ***

We would first like to thank [redacted] for choosing Empire Moving and Storage Inc for her long distance moving needsWe are upset that our customer had issues with us in regard to the move and would like to take a moment to explain some of the concerns and have this complaint against us resolvedLet me please start by saying that there will be no shape or form of retaliation against you for sharing your experience with our Revdex.com and publicWe try to do the very best with every job that we service and depend on customer feedback so that we can always further our development in servicing our customersI spoke with [redacted] about the coordinating of your job this morning for about minHe did recall going over a list that you had from another companyWhat he doesnt remember is [redacted] sharing with him the cu ft or weight of that other estimateSometimes if we input a list from another company and we have less volume then that is something that needs to be addressed [redacted] is still trying to find that email that has the list but has yet to find itWe would like for the customer to look at that paperwork from the other company and she will see that what has happened was not intentionalSomewhere on the list of the other company there will also be a cu ft or weight listedWe are almost positive that number of cu ft is @ or around cu ftFor some reason when [redacted] put the list in it came up as much less but this should have caught the customers attention with us only calculating cu ftWe are sorry for the confusion but the loading of the job came to cubic foot and that can be verified further if need bePlease call me if you would like further proof or explanation [redacted] Also please resend me the paperwork from the visual estimate that you had and I will show you where this confusion is coming fromThe $dollar charge @ the pick up was justifiedOur crew members only walk foot to load/unload furniture @ the customers homeAnything additional is $per ft (one time charge) and this is in our contract in a specific section that is listed in the first few paragraphsWe are sorry that we had issues with our driver and that delayed your shipmentWe are happy that we were able to discount an amount of $for the carpet cleaning which we feel was very generousSometimes there is trouble getting through to us and we do apologize for that but at no point have we been unavailable for an entire day so we are a little bit confused @ some of what the customer is mentioning in regard to us ignoring herWe are an honest company and I would love to speak with you directly about further concerns or questions that you haveYou furniture will be in route for delivery tomorrowStandard drive time is hrs per day or up to miles per dayThe driver ( [redacted] ) will be calling you 12-hrs in advance to your delivery and you will be getting an email tomorrow with his informationThank you and we hope this all can be resolved soon [redacted] - [redacted]
