Review: I took the Empire Safety class in 2013. I never got the certificate I called them I paid 10.00 for 2 certificates which I received one but never received mine . I did receive one a week later. I called them they said the certifcates went out on March **, 2014. I looked at the envelope and was post marked that date My certification expired on April *, 2014. I called them today and advised I never received the other certify which I paid 5.00 for. They informed me I have to pay another 5.00 I said what for they said to reissue another one. I told them paid for the class paid 5.00 for the one certificate now they want another 5.00 They refused to issue another one I asked to speak with [redacted] He informed me I have to pay another 5.00 How long is this going to go on and I pay 5.00 He said I have to pay for his time to issue another certificate. Asked if I could pick it up He advised no Asked if they could send certify mail he said no He refused to help me in any way I don't believe he is sending me this information and taking my 5.00 each time I asked for his name he refused I believe if I gave him another 5.00 I still will not receive my certif because I am giving them a hard time about not receiving any one of these certif.I think this business is not sending me this information on purpose This [redacted] told me he is not in charge of the mail in my house and doesn't know what I am doing with his certif really I need this certif for my ins reductionDesired Settlement: I paid for the class paid 5.00 for a second certificate, I just want a copy of the certificate that I paid for I believe they are doing this on purpose and I will never get my certificate because they are playing games with me and just want to give me a hard time

I have not had a phone number for empire but have today sent a third weekly email to their provided email; [redacted]. I have asked for a credit and have not received any response. the charges occurred on 2/*/14 with a posting date of 2/**/14. the amounts were 34.95 with a promotion code of '[redacted]'

I would like a credit for the double payment amount of 34.95, either by credit card or another method to be discussed with them.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit for the double payment amount of 34.95, either by credit card or another method to be discussed with them.

I have given up on this organization. I contacted State Farm, who referred me to them and the agent promised to follow up with them. I'm not hopeful of a positive result. I have also contacted my credit card company in an attempt to stop payment of the duplicate charge.

Other than as noted above I am powerless to go further except to urge others to avoid Empire Safety Council if they can.

Thanks for your effort on my behalf.

Sincerely,

Review: I called the office with an inquiry for an incorrect driver safety course completion certificate, the name on the certificate stated "[redacted]" when it should have read, "[redacted]." The woman informed me that there would be a $5 fee to reissue the certificate, I asked why when they made the mistake, I should be penalized? The woman rudely stated that the form I filled out read "[redacted]." I said that I knew what I filled out and certainly didn't write "[redacted]." Again, she VERY rudely said that's what your form says. So I asked her to fax or email me a copy of the form so that I could see for myself, she replied with, "we don't do that here." I asked for her name and she said we don't give out our names, so I then asked for another way that she could be referenced, she said we don't do that here and hung up on me. I immediately called back and asked to speak with a [redacted]. I was put on hold and a gentleman rudely picked up the phone and asked what I wanted. I began to explain myself and was interrupted by him. When I asked if he was actually the [redacted] his reply was, "why, what difference does it make, so you can talk down to them" and he too proceeded to hang up on me. I am extremely offended by all parties actions and cannot fathom how a company would handle their customer relations like that.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from the company as well as the two employees and have the correct certificate issued at no charge.

Review: I had completed a defensive drivers course offered by this company on December [redacted] 2014. After a matter of weeks I still receive no certificate of completion, even after immediate payment. I have called various times and keep getting told to call back or check my mail. It is now February [redacted] and still have no certificate, and whomever I was talking to very rudely told me to call back and screamed "goodbye!!" at me. All I would like is my certificate that I paid for over TWO MONTHS AGO.Desired Settlement: I'd like my certificate to be mailed to me immediately.

I enrolled in a class to become a safe driving instructor. I revealed my driving record and was enrolled anyway. After completion I was told that I was rejected to teach and was told I had to wait a year. I called a year later and was barrated by a rude, loud, ignorant man named [redacted]. Apparently he should not be in business. The customer service is appalling and their attitudes are as bad. I would not use them nor recommend them to anyone.

Review: I was told by my insurance company to go to an online class and have all my CDL driver's take the course to prevent an increase on my insurance.

I used Empire Safety Council, and my younger drivers were able to jump through the hoops to complete the course. I have older drivers who aren't computer and tech savvy enough to complete certain tasks they asked of them in the allotted time provided. So I asked for a refund since they could not give us a time extension to assist with taking their course. Had we known ahead of time we couldn't, we never would have tried. They refuse to give us a refund. We are a business trying to save money, not throw more away.Desired Settlement: I have disputed the charge on my Credit Card and do not know the outcome of that yet. If that was successful, then I just want the Revdex.com to know and have others know that this company is a Tyrant who won't give back what they can't help with. If my card still gets charged, then I would like my money back.

Sincerely,

Review: After logging in to the Internet Point and Insurance Reduction Program (iPIRP) course I was disappointed to learn that each page has a timer that requires you to spend a certain amount of time on that page regardless of how long it takes to actually complete that page. This is extremely inconvenient. It is a HUGE waste of my time to watch a timer count down after I've completed the material on each page. This renders the course unusable. For this reason I am requesting a prompt refund of my registration fee. First attempt: April **, 2014. Second attempt: June *, 2014.Desired Settlement: A prompt refund of my registration fee.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased an online safety course for my daughter. She has not been able to log on to take the course. We have both called several times and the man was very rude and told us to email. We then have both emailed several times and no one has responded. You must complete the course within 30 days of registration and now it has expired.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back because the course never allowed my daughter to log in to complete it.

Review: I took a 6 hour defensive course at S &S Auto School located at [redacted].Mid November of 2013. I have yet to received my certificate in the mail. I have contated Empire City Council several times. They claim they sent the certificate twice. I confirmed my address with the representative over the phone. I still do not have my certificate!!!!!!!!. I have received billing statements and other mail except theirs. On January **, 2014 I called back again and was told I would have to pay five dollars if they have to mail out a third one. Why should I have to pay $5.00 for something that isn't my fault? And what makes this company think if I pay them five dollars that I will receive it?

I want my certificate I a paid for it!

Review: I PAID FOR A DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE. THEY WHERE SUPPOSED TO MAIL ME A CERTIFICATE. 3 MONTHS AFTER, I STILL DON'T HAVE THE CERTIFICATE. THEY MAILED TO A WRONG ADDRESS, SO I GAVE THE RIGHT ADDRESS. THEN THEY SAYING THAT THEY MAIL THE CERTIFICATE TO THE RIGHT ADDRESS, BUT I STILL DID NOT GET IT. SO I REQUESTED TO BE SENT AGAIN AND THE AGENT TOLD ME THEY HAVE TO CHARGE ME $5.00 DOLLARS FOR A NEW CERTIFICATE. I ASK TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR, THE SUPERVISOR LITERALLY SCREAM AT ME SAYING "WE DON'T DO WHAT THE COSTUMERS SAY, WE DO WHAT WE DO!" AND THEN HE HANG UP. I CALL AGAIN IMMEDIATELY AND THIS SUPERVISOR STILL YELLING SAID "IF YOU WANT A CERTIFICATE YOU HAVE TO PAY!". TO BE HONEST, THIS GUY SHOULD BE FIRED; NOT ONLY WAS SO RUDE, HE MOCK ME WITH MY LANGUAGE AS I HAVE A SPANISH ACCENT AND SAY "COMPRENDO!" BEFOR HANGING THE PHONE, LIKE I'M STUPID.

THEY MADE AN INITIAL MISTAKE ON SENDING THE CERTIFICATE TO A WRONG ADDRESS. I DON'T HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE MAIL, I DON'T THINK THEY MAILED FOR THE SECOND TIME, SO THIS WAY THEY CAN CHARGE AN EXTRA $5. EVEN IF I AM WRONG TO AS THAT, AS A SUPERVISOR HE WAS TOTALLY WRONG TO MAKE ME FEEL AN IT, AND AT THE END I HAD TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD # FOR THE NEW CERTIFICATE, WHICH BY THE WAY, I HOPE I'LL GET.Desired Settlement: REFUND THE $5.00 (BY PRINCIPLE) AND AND AN APOLOGY FROM THE GREAT SUPERVISOR

Review: Applied for online defensive driving course. I was shut out of the course several times while taking the course. They state they have a help line. I called many times as well as emailed. Voicemail answered but no messages were allowed to be received. They did not respond back. Misrepresentation of services. The website is misleading and I would not recommend to anyone. They should not be able to represent themselves as connected with the NYS DMV. I would like a complete refund. I did not use the service and was unable to contact them at any of the contacts provided. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund for services not rendered. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Review: I registered on 12/**/13 for the Internet Point and Insurance Reduction Program (iPIRP). I paid $44.95 for the course.

On the main webpage it says:

"Our course is a convenient way to attend a Point and Insurance Reduction Program over the Internet, and can be completed 100% online. You don't need any special software to take our course. If you have a computer, you can take this course entirely from the comfort of your own home (or wherever you get access to the Internet!). Our course gives you the flexibility to study at your own pace and on your own schedule. You can login and logout as many times as you like - our "student progress monitoring" feature allows you to always continue exactly where you left off. To receive your Certificate of Completion and get credit for the course (in order to receive the point and insurance reduction), you must simply complete all of the online sessions. The price of our Point and Insurance Reduction Program is $44.95".

I also checked out the "Course Procedures" link at: [redacted]

Neither of those pages gave any information on how many days/months I had to complete the course and the only information I received initally was my login and password.

I logged again on 1/**/14 to continue the course. I was curious as to how long I had to complete the course so I emailed customer service at [redacted]. I did not get a response. On 1/**/14 I decided to call them at ###-###-#### and got a woman on the phone who said I had 30 days to complete it. Since it was over 30 days I would have to RE-register and pay another $44.95. The 6 courses I completed would not count and I would have to start from the beginning. I feel I'm a victim of false advertising, since I was not told of any limited completion time and I wouldn't have agreed to this if I knew.Desired Settlement: I want my $44.95 back OR I want the opportunity to finish the course with the" flexibility to study at your own pace and on your own schedule." As I quoted above taken from their own website.

Sincerely,

Review: Husband and I signed up for a defensive driving class on the phone with credit card $80. Had to cancel classes 2 weeks later and when I called the girl on the phone said there are no refunds. You were told on the phone when you scheduled the class. Which I was certainly not told or I would not be asking for a refund. No where on their website does it say no refunds. They said I had to call back to speak to a [redacted] ([redacted]) who was the nastiest most foul mouth low class person I ever spoke to. Didn't let me speak and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: Refund credit card. If you check this company's other reviews, you will also see what people are saying about him. He is a scammer. Trying to take advantage of people.

Review: My company hosted a Defensive Driving Class last year for 7 people last summer. Empire's agent, Oscar C[redacted] instructed the class. My entire group did not receive any of our defensive driving certificates. I've contacted Mr. C[redacted] hundreds of times over the last year and each time he advised that he handed in our group's paperwork to the owner of Empire and the instructor did not know why we did not receive our certificates. Mr. C[redacted] then came back to my office and retrieved all the students' personal information as he stated his boss was audited and the original paperwork was lost. We obliged. Mr. C[redacted] has since stopped answering our calls. Today, I called Empire and spoke to the owner. The owner was not only rude but unprofessional. He screamed "What the hell do you want from me?" on the phone. He screamed, "Was your group all [redacted] or did they read and write English?" These types of comments are inappropriate. The owner has also made up some excuse why he cannot contact his agent, Mr. C[redacted] to resolve this matter. I've done this class with Mr. C[redacted], two times previously and never had an issue. You would think that Empire would be grateful for the repeat business but they are not. The owner wants to know what date, where are the booklets, etc. It's been over a year and that information was not saved especially since everyone in the group had to retake the class with a different school. What the owner really needs to do is contact his agent and in-house perform an investigation. It is not my responsibility to facilitate his shortcomings, especially after being screamed at. How is it possible that 7 people who took this class are not in Empire's system and that they have no record of this event?Desired Settlement: At this point, Empire Safety Council and/or their agent, Oscar C[redacted], should reimburse us for the money we paid for a service they didn't provide. We had collectively paid $350 in cash. I also think the owner should apologize for his behavior. If reimbursement is not to be made, I'd like the information to contact his E&O/Professional Liability insurance policies to file a claim as well as the licensing board so that I can file a complaint there as well.
