Review: When I consulted [redacted] last April **,2014 at this clinic for pain in my [redacted] I specifically asked if they accept my insurance [redacted] and I was told that I only have to pay for my co pay which I did. [redacted] ordered for the xray of my [redacted] on the same location and I was told that everything is covered by my insurance. Then after a few months I received a bill from [redacted] for $150.00. I was surprised about the bill and called my [redacted] insurance and I was informed that the [redacted] is an out of network facility. [redacted] a person representing [redacted] even called the facility on Nov. **, 2014 and told [redacted] that it is their fault of not telling me that their xray facility is not an in net work. I also called the facility and the billing dept of [redacted] several times and I was told they will look into the problem. I even wrote a letter dated April *, 2015 to both facility explaining everything and got no answer at all. Meanwhile I keep receiving the bill now reduced to $111.11 (after administrative writeoff) as outstanding, the latest is June *, 2015 as FINAL NOTICE before it goes to collection agency. Today June **, 2015 I called both facility again and I was told by [redacted] of [redacted] billing to call the facility and that its their fault of not telling me. I called Empire State Orthopedics and spoke to [redacted] and I was told by him that they hire a 3rd party xray to their clinic and they should be the one to make sure my insurance covered the xray and that I should have also asked. I told him I was led to the next door for xray and was never told that my insurance will not cover that xray. I told him at that time I was in a lot of pain and what patient will inquire if my insurance covers that test if I was told on admission that they accept my [redacted] insurance. I asked to speak to the manager of their xray facility and I just got a busy signal. I am so upset and annoyed by this misrepresentation of their services and I believe the patient should not be penalized for their mistake and for not telling the patient everything. I could have gone to another in net work xray facility if I was informed. I demand that this matter be investigated and I should not be held responsible for this bill.Desired Settlement: I should not be responsible to pay this bill. [redacted] should stop sending me a bill.
