I rarely leave reviews online, and never thought that I would be talking about a CPA using such positive tonesAfter all, what can one usually say about a CPA? They were marginally friendlier than using ***, and did the minimum to get my tax return completed
Empire were different from the startHaving found myself in a sticky situation with the IRS and various States, I honestly believed I was staring down the barrel of a long sentence, sharing a cell with *** ***, or worseAn attorney friend recommended Rachel to meI first went to see her a year agoShe immediately put me at ease, and talked through the problem and, most importantly, advised me of the best solutionShe then graciously agreed to assist, talking through a roadmap and what stages to expect
Suffice it to say, Rachel, Cassie and Nairobi turned out to be the ‘first-responders’ of the tax world – no problem is too small or largeI’m not an easy customer, and nor were my tax problems, but Empire diligently worked through them over a period of months with the IRS, and I’m now in the position where, despite owing the IRS et al some money, I’m finally relaxed about tax and the IRSIt’s all thanks to the Empire team going above and beyond in their service

Will treat the servicing of your account as a priority
Same people always service your account
Services beyond the usual reporting and number-crunching are offered
Someone who can solve your problems
Tech-savvy
Will be able to communicate with fully on a regular basis
Proficient in their goal to save you from overpaying your taxes
[redacted] is requesting a refund because he says that it was our fault that we did not make his tax payments on time and he claims that we did not communicate with him timely. We have all documentation that we communicated with him timely and answered every single question he had. We did not...
charge him additionall fees because of the detailed questions. We prepared his tax returns, went over every single line with him and he had 2 weeks to review his tax returns and APPROVED THE RETURNS. On April [redacted], We efiled his tax returns timely and emailed him a confirmation of acceptance. The email also indiciates that he would be responsoible for mailing the check to the IRS on his own. HE was getting a refund from NYS AND ASSUMED that we were going to make the payment from him. [redacted] owes approximalty 95,000 in taxes and there is no way that I would make the payment on his behalf. We are responsible for preparing the tax returns but never to make any large payments on behalf of any client. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to make the payment to the IRS and there was never a written or verbal request asking for us to pay the taxes on his behalf. We emailed him vouchers and advised him several times that he is required to make payments on his behalf. I spent hours on this client, and you can see on your own how detailed he is with all the detailed emails. There is no way that I would agree for a refund because services and communication were more than perfect. There are NO mistakes on the return and we have documentation that we responded to him timely.
