had empire install what they said was very good carpet in my living room. first time they left stains on it and blamed us, second time ran seam wrong, 3rd time we just delt with it because they were destroying my trim. not 1 of them could speak any English and was very hard to communicate. its only been 2 years we had it cleaned they could not get the pile to lift back up. It also was staining and we do not wear shoes in my house? So I called customer service to have someone come look at it and they want to charge me 150.00 just to look at it! what the heck is that all about was doing for warranty so stay far away from these guys . awful product awful service..
Review: Our issue is a tri-fold actually. 1) the advertisement was false & feel we were outright lied to. 2). their product had issues which have not been resolved. 3) customer service, now the administrative people we've spoken to were nice enough but our problem has not been resolved.This is our 2nd or 3rd attempt at a resolution to your false advertisement. 1st: we have a "specialized Vinyl" you promoted at the time as although it was sheeted you could take out one square & replace it. So it has bubbled in two places one which someone came out & kind of repaired but pressing He just plain LIED. As I see on your website not to mention commercials there IS ALWAYS A promotion, well unfortunately for us we went ahead & got our house done as we were on a time crunch. We are looking for either a reimbursement of the flooring in the area for which there is the bubbling (kitchen, dinning & laundry) or a total replacement of that flooring. We spent thousands of dollars.The simplistic solution would be to send someone out to simply repair that area or replace it as originally promised. We don't need someone to come evaluate it either just come & do it. It's been done before so I know it can be. Surely somewhere there is a few pieces of that same floor. We truly believe the original salesman had lied to is so we have had a bitter taste for all these years & now more so with this on going issue.?Thank you in advance for your immediate attention,Desired Settlement: We'd simply like these areas to be repaired at minimum but a replacement of these areas with a long standing product that a would be replaceable if ever needed in the future would be preferred.We are not at all unhappy with the work done by the installers but if the company is unwilling or able to handle this complaint we would ask for a reimbursement for the original promotion so we can get theses areas replaced. Review: Empire Today advertises that if you refer a friend/person to them and they do business with them the referring person will receive $100. In 2010 I referred my daughter. She spent $19,000 to redo all of the flooring in her new home. She purchased tile and laminate for a 4 bedroom 3bath house. I received the $100.Last month June 2013, my mother ordered carpet for 3 bedrooms. The special was buy one room and get 3 bedrooms free. She spent $3700 and the installer took the money out of her bank account before one morsel of carpet was laid. My mother is 87 years old. This was taking advantage of my mother. she was told that the money was taken, once she wrote the company a check after the installation was completed. When I asked the company about this practice, I was told that Empire takes the money ahead of time in case the person doesn't have the money. This is a LIE! My daughter paid $19,000 after the work was completed. I paid after my work was completed, so why would they take my 87 year old mother's money prior to completing the workI was never contacted regarding my referral award of $100. When I called I was told that it would be mailed shortly. On August 1, 2013 I received a Splash card. This is a gift card in the amount of $100. Along with the Splash card was a list of stores that honors the card. I don't shop at these stores, so the card is of no use to me.Desired Settlement: I want $100 for the referral, they can have this gift card back.I want a copy of the Company practice that states that you pay prior to work being completed.
