I received my refund check 11-10-

Unfortunately we were unable to fulfill the order for Mrs*** in the time frame that was quoted to her Mrs*** did however receive a $refund check today 04/13/, Sincerely *** ***

We contacted the vendor that they purchased there warranty from and got them to agree to let the customer come back into our store and reselect to another sofa set The customer was contacted yesterday and is going to come in and reselect So at this point the issue has been resolved

Unfortunately we were not able to fulfill this order in a timely manner We are contacting the finance company the customer used to make this purchase through to have the account cancelled and issue a full refund

I am rejecting this response because: I still want to return the furniture and get my money back. I'm sure they have a return policy. I only took the furniture because I wasn't getting my refund. I was told a check was mailed to me. Funny I never got it. The truth is it was never mailed. I was lied to and worn down until I just accepted the furniture. It shouldn't be too late to return it.

Mr. [redacted] purchased a sofa and 3pc table set from us on 7/28/15 . He called us a couple of days later to say that he wasn't sure the color of the sofa would work or not . He asked if the sofa came in any other colors , we told him that it did not but we would send him pictures of similar sofas in...

other colors. Mr. [redacted] then contacted us a couple days later to say that he would rather have the original sofa. He took delivery of the sofa but said he no longer wanted the tables . We cancelled the tables and delivered the sofa the week of 8/10 , he even called the store to say how good the sofa looked in his home . Before the refund check on the tables arrived he called and asked for a better price on the tables which we gave him and delivered them the week of 8/17. It normally takes about 7 to 10 days to process and receive a refund check . I don't understand his claim that he was " lied to for "weeks " when all we tried to do was work with him and make him happy, including both of the delivery's which were done after our regular delivery hours to accommodate his work schedule . In no way was Mr. [redacted] deceived or lied to . We work very hard to satisfy each and every customer . Sincerely [redacted]

On Mon. 3/21 the customer came into the store and received her refund check . [redacted] called merchant services in regards to the credit card refund . [redacted] put the merchant services representative on the speaker phone , the merchant services representative told her that the card had been refunded but that it can take 7 to 10 days for the bank to process it . There was no ill will on [redacted]s part to steal her money.

According to the creditor the money has been refunded to the consumer .

Consumer stated " The company that I had issues with provided me the furniture and compensated me. So my issue has been resolved. Thanks for your help, [redacted]"

We've already been over this , there will be no refund.

Apparently there was some confusion on our part as to what mattress set the customer wanted . It has been resolved and the correct mattress has been ordered . When we receive the mattress the customer wants we will contact her and schedule a date to exchange it .

Today April 13-2016 we are pleased that the company came through with our 300.00 deposit. But, we are not happy that they strung us along almost six weeks of personal contacts (phone or face to face) trying to get our merchandise or deposit back. Thank you for being available if needed.[redacted]"

I am rejecting this response because:Revdex.com:We have paid off the entire purchase. One would think the creditor paid ems by March, I know we paid the creditor by that time. Why do I need to wait for a refund?

The customer has been sent the refund check and is supposed to contact you to let you know.

Review: The business delivered the wrong bed. We ordered a [redacted] and was delivered a [redacted] Independence. The feel of the bed is entirely different and much firmer that what we purchased. It was an expensive purchase and the first bed that we have had in 13 years. The business doesn't respond to phone call or return calls to resolve the situation.Desired Settlement: I would either like the bed I ordered or a refund.

Review: We ordered and paid for a custom sectional from [redacted] on 1/28/16. We were told 6 to 8 weeks. We have had no less than three confirmed delivery dates with me getting calls throughout the day only to be told there was some sort of mix up. It's always something that will be taken care of in a week- slow freight, factory relocation, left on dock, death in family, wife in hospital and so it goes. [redacted] is the salesman but I can rarely get ahold of him. A person named [redacted] always answers the phone and says that [redacted] is with a customer. It's be 5 month waiting on a paid for couch. HelpDesired Settlement: Refund plus lost potential use and lost time trying to find out what is going on

Review: No promised refund after waiting over a year for a couch and dinette set. Refund request was made on 12/11/13.

On 11/25/12, I purchased a sectional couch from the Redding EMS Home Furnishings Store, for the amount of $2344.95. This was to be delivered in 'approximately' 12 weeks. At the end of February 2013, my wife [redacted], contacted the manager of the store, [redacted], and he said he would look into where our purchase was. After many phone calls and reasons given she was told our couch had been lost and a new one was going to be made. On 5/4/13, [redacted] went to the store and ordered a dinette set which was to be delivered in 3 weeks for the amount of $619.20. Again after many phone calls and visits to the store to personally see [redacted], none of the furniture was delivered. On 12/11/13, [redacted] sent an email to [redacted] requesting a full refund for the furniture I had purchased. [redacted] responded on 12/13/13 to say that he would process the refund the following day and it would take 4-5 days to process. We did not not receive the check in the mail on 12/19/13 so once again contacted [redacted] who said the check had been mailed out from Mt Shasta and we should be receiving it and he was surprised we had not already received it. On 12/30/13 when we still did not have the check, [redacted] went to the store to speak with [redacted] and verify that he had the correct address. The address he had was [redacted], so he felt that is why we have not received the check. As of today 1/6/14, we still do not have the refund and feel we have been extremely patient in this matter.Desired Settlement: I am seeking the total amount I have paid for the undelivered couch and dinette set. The amount is $2964.15

The Customers Refund was recieved by customer on January 10th 2014

Review: We paid cash for couches on March 24, 2013 and have never received them. We are in the process of attempting to get our money back. $1,822.05

I ordered and paid for two couches on March 24, 2013 from EMS Home Furnishings in Redding CA. I paid $825.00 cash - $500.00 with a check and $497.05 with debit card. I was told they would arrive in approx. 10 weeks. On June 3rd I called EMS and was told they would call us when the couches came. 2 weeks later still no call from EMS - On June 17 I went to the store and was told they would be here in 7-10 days. 2 weeks later again no word from EMS. I called the manager [redacted] he first blamed the manufacturer. Then blamed the trucking company - On July 22, 2013 I was told by [redacted] there was a new trucking company and our couches would be delivered on July 27th. At 10am on the July 27th [redacted] called and said we were at his mercy and he would delivery any couch that was in his store. We said no as we have been lied to for 4 months and just want our money back. The following are the couches that we paid for and never received:

1 Rec Sofa MFR 330 Stock# XXXXX for $1099.95

1 Rec Loveseat MFR 330 Stock #XXXXX for $524.98

Delivery $70.00 The total paid was $1,822.05. On July 29th we went to EMS and inquired about getting our money returned. We have been told by [redacted] that our checking acct. has been credited $498.05; however as of 8/1/13 it has not shown up in our acct. [redacted] stated that the balance $1,325.00 would be returned by check within a week. We have not received the check as of 8/2/13.Desired Settlement: All we want is our money refunded - we saw an EMS Home Furnishing ad on our local TV station advertising going out of business sale.

Business' Initial Response

The Customer picked up their refund check on Wednesday 8/14/13 and also stated that their bank account had also been credited when they came into the store to pick up there check.

Consumer's Final Response

Thank you, for your assistance in this matter. After filing this complaint and explaining to the store manager that if he didn't return our money by August 14th, 2013 we were going to filing a complaint with the Redding Police Department for defrauding us. Needless to say he had our money in the store on the 14th. Again thank you and I apologize for not responding sooner.
