Please be advised that the customer was told that there is a $service call to have a technician come out to the property to inspect the job at the time of the phone callWe always advised our customers about the service call prior to sending out our techniciansAs for the price quote over
the phone for fixing the problem, that cannot be determined over the phone when we cannot see what needs to be done until our technician is at the locationThe customer agreed and asked to send someone the next morning which we didOur technician (Jim) is fully equipped with uniform, truck and tools when he arrived, he stated that this was a difficult job and explained to the customer that the price would be $with the service call included which involved fixing the fill valve and shut off valve for the toiletThe customer agreed and the technician performed the workBecause this was so difficult, the technician had to go throughout the commercial loft to locate the main valve so it can be shut down in order to drain the water from the toilet and fix the fill valve and shut off valveThe technician located the main valve buried in the ceiling and told the customer he needs to shut it down in order for the work to be performed, which he didAfter the work is completed, it is then tested and made sure it is in working conditionAll valves were working properly which the customer was satisfied and made payment without complaining at the timeThe following day, the customer called and asked if he could come out again and change the flapper on the toilet without further payment (free)The technician explained that his service was only for the fill valve and shut off valve which was irrelevant and unrelated to the previous condition of the flapperThe customer became rude and threatened the technician (Jim) that he would pursue the Revdex.com regarding this matterAlthough, we could of sent a technician back out at no charge at the time just so we can keep the customer satisfied with our company and have a continuing relationship, the customer's demeanor kept the technician from entering the premises againInasmuch, it seems as though the customer was only giving you half of the storyPlease be advised that there is to sides to every story and we should not be penalized for the incompetence of this type of customer and refuse to pay the disputed amountAny further questions, please do not hesitate to contact meVery truly yours, *** *** Manager

Hello,In response to the companies points.No notice of a $service call was given before the service.I'm fine with that price point, but was never told that.We were not told a price until the service had been performed, at which point I disputed the price with Jim for about mins.In this conversation I told him we had not had any information about pricing before the job was done and that surprised me.Jim also said that his company never did work for less than $and I asked why they wouldn't have told us that on the phone prior to the job.After the job was performed, Jim told us we owed $375, when we questioned the service he said he would take $cashWe pushed back and tried to get him to lower the price, but he was persistent.I even followed him out to his van to keep talking over the issue while my roommate had to go get cashDuring this conversation he rolled his window up on me mid conversationThat was a rude way to stop this processWe never raised our voices, but were having a direct conversation.Even if part of the $was a $service fee, $dollars is out of the market price for a $part and 30mins of time for a plumber.Also, our toilet was still not repaired.While in our house, Jim had to find the shut off valveGranted.It took about mins for him to stand on a chair shine an flashligh above our restroom and say, "there it is, got a ladder?"He didn't have a ladder, but I produced one.I climbed the ladder into the small space and used his pliers to shut off and turn back on the water myself.To no offense to him, I didn't think he would fit in the space or be stable in the area.It was tight and precarious.Jim was there for a max of 30-40mins.After that we had our conversation about pricing.Everyone left for work around the same time Jim didNone of us used the toilet at this time.I returned home from work around 7pm and the toilet was just running.The flap that was previously also not working had not been repaired with the job.It was an obvious issue that needed repair and any worker should have taken care of the entire issue with the toilet, especially for $350.I called Jim back at 7-8pm the same night as the repair and calmly told him that the flap was not fixed and the toilet was still running.I said that I expected him to come back and finish the job.I wasn't rude, but I was direct, as I am held accountable for similar things in my job and as any high paying customer should be.He simply said no and started telling me that he knew that was an issue and mentioned it to my lesser involved roommate, but not me.But why did he simply not fix it in it's completion in the first place?I told him that I was very unsatisfied with this service and that a new premium toilet could be purchased for$350.I then told him that if we couldn't resolve this I would be forced to file with the Revdex.com and proceed with Small claims if necessary.He said " do what you gotta do, buddy"So I am.After going online and doing more research on this company I found complaint after complaint for similar activity.I'm making this effort to stop this type of business from taking advantage of the industry.I'm in custom fabrication myself.I do residential and commercial work and have a great working knowledge of plumbing and of hiring plumbers.Unfortunately, I had been busy all week and told my lesser knowledgeable roommate to find a plumber.I feel like this company, or Jim inparticular was taking advantage of her innocence and then when I arrived on the site, he hurried out and wouldn't stand behind his work.It's a bad feeling to get burned like that and I can see this company takes advantage of just that type of consumer.Here is a link to a video that I took of the toilet the same day after Jim "fixed" it.***It didn't work, I was out $and Jim told me offA bad daySince, I have taken time off work to finish the job

In correspondence to the letter. Please be advised that our company spoke to the roommate and explained to her that there is a $95.00 service call to come out to the premises which she agreed. If the other roommate is a master in commercial and residential home repairs, why would she call another company for service when he could of fixed it (apparently he didn't even know where the main valve was). The technician also told her what the price would cost to work on the toilet to fix the fill valve and shut off valve only (nothing to do with the flapper). Therefore, our labor is $175.00 plus the $95.00 service call. The valves cost more the $7.00, but if that is what he's insisting, then we will accommodate only $73.00 as a total refund to the customer.

Revdex.com:I will accept the $73.00 refund from the company.In review of the message, I hope that the Revdex.com can see the type of attitude the company gives it's clients.this cases points:I've never claimed to be a master plumber, only that I hire them.I know the price of the part because Jim left the box and old parts in the middle of of our floor after leavingno notice was given of a $95 service feeNo price was given until after the serviceafter spending $350 our toilet still didn't workNo type of service was extended after a call of concernSo while I'll take the refund, I'll never be happy with the way this company does business.
