Review: On March **,2013, we ordered carpeting for our church, [redacted], located at [redacted]. We gave a deposit of $20,800 and were promised that the c carpet would be delivered and installed in a timely manner. We had damage from Hurricane Sandy and we re still doing repairs so we were not ready to take immediate delivery. he said she would hold the carpet in the warehouse. We later called her to tell her we were ready for delivery and she said "The carpet is on the truck and it is on the way." We called again about a week later and again she said the carpet is on the way. Week after week we called and were told the same thing. She then called and said she had [redacted] and therefore was away from her store, but she promised it would arrive the following week. We waited and waited. We gave her some leeway being that she said she had [redacted],. Eventually she stopped answering her phone and we could not reach her. We passed by the store and she wasn't there. a couple of weeks later she called and said she had a stroke. Again she said that the carpet will be coming. We have waited more than two months since she first said the carpet was coming. I went there yesterday (7/**/13) to speak with her and also leave her a letter stating that we are canceling our order. The store was closed but I left the letter anyway. I spoke to the proprietor next door and he told me that she was moving to Westbury. Later that evening one of our church members called me to let me know that the store was being emptied. As of today 7/**/13 we have not been able to contact her nor have we received the carpet or our money. [redacted] help us.Desired Settlement: Being that she never provided the carpet we would like to get our money back. We have already placed an order with another company to get carpeting for our church. We have not been able to use our main church sanctuary because of this. Between Hurricane Sandy and this situation we have not been able to hold services in our church for the past 9 months.
