I contacted several car dealerships over the last month about purchasing a 2020 dodge challenger. I requested text messaging. I told encore when I checked online I would like to purchase maybe a sxt or rt model had to do some research. Well I texted with a sales man named *** seemed nice and answered my questions I told him I was interested in a 2020 challenger RT and we set up a test drive for Sunday July 26th and 11am. I showed up we got in the car rode around the block and said yeah I want it let's talk numbers. They came back with a paper with a price on it and with my trade and down payment the remaining balance was around 16000 dollars. I said I was gonna go get my money for my loan taking care of and I would be back to purchase well they sent paper work to bank even text me the price they gave me. Well I go get my loan from bank on Wednesday July 29th get a 30K dollar check get my title for my trade pay for my car insurance and go to pick up my new car. I get there where I sit at a table and signed a couple papers then I waited for like a hour and *** and his manager pull me away from other customers to tell me they made a mistake the price they gave me was for a SXT and not the RT challenger I test drove and discussed.they told me I needed to pay 6000 more dollars to get the car THEY gave me the wrong price after I got a loan and paid for insurance and was told to pay 6000 more! What kind of terrible service does something like that. Ive never been so mad in my life I wasted time and gas had to cancel a loan and my insurance. Told me they would give me 2000 more on a trade best they could do! Really how about honor your offer you gave me! I asked for the owner of the lots number they said the GM would contact me. Well im still waiting not a word. I even offered because mistaked happen to eat 2000 and they eat the 4000 but honestly I shouldn't do that! This was awful and I don't even wanna car shop anymore!
Other (requires explanation) honor your price you give someone! I lost a lot of time and wasted money going back and forth. They do not care!
I was able to contact Mr. on Sunday evening and had an informative conversation. I told him I would look into his complaint and try to find resolution. We spoke again on Monday and resolved the matter. We both agreed there was no malice on the part of the dealership and agreed it was poor communication from the salesman to the sales manager. We were able to come to an agreement on price for the 2020 RT Challenger and Mr. took delivery of the car on 8/5/2020. He stated he was completely satisfied with the resolution and would be contacting you to remove the complaint.
