Endless Gutters Reviews (%countItem)

Quality of/defective work and not responding to phone calls.
I hired Endless Gutters, Mike, to install new gutters around my home. He came out with his employees in the morning and left, leaving his employees To complete the job. When the employees were done with the job, I noticed the gutters were not sloping correctly to drain the rain water and after rain had standing water, pulling on my new facia boards (I had a new roof installed a year ago). I called Mike and he sent his employees out to "fix" the standing water issues. They came out and drilled holes and moved some gutters. The next rain proved the issues were not fixed and the gutters were still holding water and pulling on the facia boards. I called Mike and they came out a third time. Mike actually came out in the morning but left shortly after leaving his employees to finish the repairs. They added down pours but unfortunately left an eye sore job on the front of the house, did not clean up trash or restore the holes and previous down pour attachments. Not only that, after a rain, the gutters were still holding water. I've called multiple times and had my wife call to fix the issues and have not hear back.

Desired Outcome

I would like proper drainage, including draining away from the house, and fix the improper/unsymmetrical installation. If this cannot be done, I would like a full refund and the facia boards restored to new/original condition (meaning no holes drilled)

Endless Gutters did not complete the work on my house and have been paid in full. Promises to finish the work have not been fulfilled.
Within a week of making my final payment to Endless Gutters I notified them that a gutter was leaking badly and allowing water to pour down the side on my house onto the patio. Over time this will permanently damage my house. I also informed the owner that several pieces of facai had not been replace as stated in the contract.

After several phone calls the owner came to my house and attempted to fix the leaking gutter but did not do it correctly and the gutter still leaks, even more so. He also said that he would call me in a couple of weeks to set an appointment to install the additional facia. That was approximately 2 months ago.

Since then I have called him several times and sent him emails letting him know that the gutter still leaked badly and was damaging my house and to request that he come out and fix the leak and install the remaining facia.

To this date I have had no response from him. He has not returned any phone calls and has not responded to any of my emails.

Desired Outcome

Fix the leaking gutter and install the remaining facia.

Endless Gutters was contacted by customer to estimate gutters and fascia, emailed customer estimate. Customer stated he tried getting ahold of me and could not (never contacted me) so he showed up at my house at 7am in morning. Signed contract for gutters and fascia. Work was performed on our part as agreed customer added returns on house for fascia (not in estimate) and my employee complied with what little extra material we had on hand at no charge only completing one. When I estimated gutters I did not see or include a gutter that was on top of screen enclosure (not something that we would do). When employees were installing gutters customer pointed out said gutter my foreman to customer that this is not a location we would normally install gutters and customer said I had included it in the estimate (I did not) and my employees complied. Two panels of screen were ripped in the process, which I compensated customer for. One month later customer called again irritated that I did not come out as agreed to repair a leak (customer never contacted me until then). I went out to repair and reapplied caulking to gutter as best I could from balcony (informed customer we would not normally install a gutter in this location because of lack of flow to downspout). Customer called two months later irritated again stating that I did not come out to repair a leak as promised (again I had not received any prior calls, went to customers house and added gutter caulking again and restated that this is not somewhere we would install a gutter again to customer. I don't believe customer had actually contacted me on the numerous occasions he has stated because I have never had this problem before or since. Customer again contacted me this time wanting the section of gutter replaced (which was he was not actually charged for). We will not be replacing gutter because there is only two methods of installation climbing on top of screen enclosure which is a safety hazard or removing screens and his screens are not in good shape to be removed and reinstalled (when screens are in poor shapes and you try to reattach panels more panels will rip while stretching). I will not pay to rescreen an entire pool enclosure for a gutter that was not estimated or will ever actually function correctly. I have met this customer 5 times and introduced myself as the owner every time (I have a distinct look of wearing a cowboy hat) and customer did not recognize me as owner or even the same person every time we met.

Customer Response • Apr 19, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Almost every word in their response is untrue. I did go to his house because he had not contacted my in weeks and his start date was approaching. We signed the contract and they did show up as promised. Every word concerning the overview of the work prior to the estimate is untrue. I specifically showed him the gutter in question and pointed out to him the difficult nature of the installation. His response was that he had highly skilled workmen and could do the job with no problem. At the time of the inspection the gutter did not leak and he assured me that there would be no problem replacing the gutter just as it was. All of this stuff about not recognizing him is silly. He was dressed differently and may have hand a different beard, not sure. Bottom line, I am willing to meet him face to face with a arbitrator in the room and let the arbitrator decide who is telling the truth. I will also take a lie detector test and challenge him to take one also, because I know he is not telling the truth.

As stated previously the gutter that is in question was never included in the original estimate because no matter how it is installed it will not function and will leak as my employee stated when customer added without additional cost at time of installation. And as I stated when inspected and tried to fix on two occasions. A down spout is not meant to be installed in the side end cap of a gutter and then drain horizontally across a section of a screen enclosure (this is why I did not include it in my estimate nor would have). There are no special notes in my estimate dictating to my employees for special installation instructions. The approximate area in question is
15 linear ft@ $4.25 per ft =$63.75.
