Review: On 3-23-2006 I contracted with Energy Aide to supply and install 11 vinyl windows for $6130.00 which were installed . Case in point is a Guarantee for as long as I own my home for all workmanship, along with a lifetime window guarantee in writing. When [redacted](now the owner) sold me the windows he stated they guarantee the windows and workmanship as long as I own my home just call.

The problem is when it rains heavy in the front of my home with strong winds water comes in on my window sill. 3 or 4 years ago they came out a few times and haved caulked around the windows but it still leaks.

On talking with [redacted] 2 years ago, he at first said he was backed loged with work from hurricane Sandy and would come out soon. After a few months I spoke with him again and he claimed that I did not pay for the windows to be capped, I told him he was the salesman and my contract says to "cap where necessary" He then tried to say that I didn't pay for it, which I did as shown in the contract.

I have been to the office on many occasions and was told all kinds of stories from they will be out, they have to call the window company, they have no one to send out at the moment as the expert is injured, call when it's raining in and when I do they say the men are off because it's raining!!!!!

I paid in good faith and used a company that at the time had an excellent reputation, I even paid prior to waiting for a replacement window as the first one would not close right on the day of install.

I am worried that the water could rot my sill and create mold on the inside, as it is now I have to scrape and paint the sill each yearDesired Settlement: I want them to fix the problem and quit stalling, just stand up and honor the guarantee, without the necessity of small claims court.

Response:

Sorry we never received prior correspondence from you. We did contact customer on Tuesday, September 9th, 2014. We arranged to go to his home to inspect his problem. We found clogged weep holes due to debris accumulation, and evidence that water was sitting in the tracks. We cleaned out the debris as best as possible, and performed three (3) different water tests with the homeowner. Absolutely no water penetrated the interior. He was very happy and was going to clean the tracks on his other windows to avoid future problems. He is to notify you of this information to close this case, or you can call him directly to close it. I would hope you will indicate in the response that there was no issue with the window or the installation by my company.Respectfully,[redacted]ePresidentEnergy Aide[redacted]
