Twice I have installed equipment that qualified for the "rebate program" thru this company - [redacted] Rebate Program. When I installed a ductless airconditioning system [redacted] and now a new efficient furnace system that indicated on their website would qualify for a [redacted] rebate. I was disqualified for both of these, because they indicated funding was no longer available. The first one I mailed very late in the year [redacted] so I felt this was my own fault. However, the furnace was installed on [redacted] & [redacted] and the rebate was mailed on [redacted] how early in the year do you need to make these upgrades within your home to receive the rebates - [redacted] I feel this is inappropriate information on their website that leads you to believe you will receive these rebates. This rebate was substantial and I am very disappointed in the utiliity companies that they are able to get away with this - I consider this very bad advertising and inacurate to the consumer. Looking forward to seeing how you can help me with this situation.Thank You.Product_Or_Service: [redacted]Desired Settlement[redacted] the [redacted] rebate - I feel it is extremely unfair representation.Business Response [redacted] XXXXX[redacted] 2015RE: Revdex.com Case #XXXXXXDear [redacted]Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the above referenced complaint filed against Energy Federation, Inc.Energy Federation Inc. (EFI) is a [redacted] based, not for profit organization that provides rebate processing services to utility companies and other organizations interested in providing energy conservation services to their customers. EFI is the facilitator of the above referenced rebate process. All rebates or incentives are funded by the utility company. As such, all processing rules and guidelines must be in compliance with the client's requirements in order for EFI to facilitate payment on a given rebate or incentive. We are in the process of researching Ms. [redacted]'s issue. Funding for these incentives is provided by Ms. [redacted]'s utility companies. In order to facilitate payment of the incentives, we must get the approval from them. We have forwarded all information to them seeking a favorable response on behalf of Ms. [redacted]. As of today we have not had a response to our requests. We will continue to follow up with them and update this case accordingly. If you have any other questions or concerns regarding this complaint, please let me know. I would like this claim to remain open until a full explanation is made regarding this rebate of $1,000 for the installation of the new furnace on my property.[redacted]nal Business Response [redacted] XXXXX[redacted] 2015RE: Revdex.com Case #XXXXXXDear [redacted]Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the above referenced complaint filed against Energy Federation, Inc.In my most recent response I had indicated we were following up with the sponsors of Ms. [redacted]'s rebate requests of which there were two. A ductless mini-split (heat pump)rebate sponsored by Public [redacted] of ** (now [redacted] and a condensing boiler rebate sponsored by [redacted] On behalf of Ms. [redacted], EFI forwarded all information pertaining to the applications to them with a request that they consider making exceptions. In the case of the rebate application sponsored by [redacted] our client has indicated that the funding availability for the program, which is referenced in the terms and conditions as being limited and available on a first come first serve basis was depleted at the time Ms. [redacted]'s application was received for processing. The funding pool that pays for the program is established at the beginning of the program year per approval of the [redacted] Once the budget has been set, the funds are dispersed on a first come first serve basis until they are exhausted. Once that has occurred our client does not have the discretion to pay the rebate. By the time we had received Ms. [redacted]'s application in [redacted] of 2014, the funding had been exhausted for quite some time. Unfortunately, the same is true of the rebate sponsored by [redacted] Subject to the same method of funding, the budget fell short of the demand for rebates this year. By the time we had received Ms. [redacted]'s application in [redacted] of 2015, the funding had been exhausted. While I had hoped for a more favorable resolution for Ms. [redacted], unfortunately EFI is not in a position to further influence payment of the rebate requests as it only the facilitator, not the sponsor of the rebate. I want my rebateI had my house reinsulated by next step living in May it went way over the estimate but I accepted it. I was to get a rebate through Connecticut HES Insulation Rebate program. I promptly filled out and sent the form in. It was returned it needed the beginning and ending R Value listed. I promptly sent the papers and letter to Next Step Living. Connecticut HES says that they did receive the proper information. I have called 4 times, talked to four different people that have told me they will personally get back to me this week, that my claim is in reviewing and I have been very patient. I have waited since May. The log number is XXXXXX. I planned for the proper time for this to be processed but now it is causing me extreme stress because this is my oil money for this winter.Desired SettlementI am seeking $3,500.00 for the rebate, estimate overage and hardship and stress.

EFI charged me for 10 expensive LED BR30 light bulbs and then sent me 10 cheap ones. Order #SXXXXXXEFI sent me cheap light bulbs in place of the BR30 light bulbs that I ordered. When I contacted Duke Power and EFI, I was told that I need to send the incorrect ones back and that they were out of the BR30's. It cost me money to repack, drive to/from the post office and, of course, my time to send them back. It was entirely their error! why should I be spending my retirement money because of their obvious error.. Order #SXXXXXXDesired SettlementCompensate me for my out of pocket expenses based on their error.Business Response Christina PriceTrade Practices ConsultantRevdex.com of Central New England340 Main Street, Suite 802Worcester, MA. XXXXXMarch 26, 2014RE: Revdex.com Case #XXXXXXDear Ms. Price,Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the above referenced complaint filed against Energy Federation, Inc.Energy Federation Inc. (EFI) is a Massachusetts based, not for profit organization that provides energy efficiency products and services to utility companies and other organizations interested in providing energy conservation services to their customers. EFI is the facilitator of a program on behalf of Duke Energy offering an online store where customers can purchase energy efficient lighting. The order placed by the customer and referenced in his complaint was made through this program. The customer did make a purchase of ten BR 30 LED reflector bulbs for which he paid $69.50. In the processing of his order, an error was made on the packing line resulting in his being shipped ten bulbs other than what he had purchased. When the error was brought to our attention by the customer we sought to replace what he had received with the correct bulbs. The customer did not feel this was adequate and expressed doubt about the error that occurred. He requested that we cancel the transaction and credit him the $69.50 he had been charged for the order. We complied with his request and a credit was issued on March 21, 2014. If you have any other questions or concerns regarding this complaint, please let me know. XXXXXXXX-XXX-XXXX x4400[redacted]@efi.org Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)EFI did not address the fact that I had to, at my expense, repackage the bulbs sent in error and take them to the post office for shipment to them before they would issue the refund. Therefore, I was out $69.50 for 15 days due to their initial error. I feel that EFI, at the least, should have shipped me the correct bulbs at no expense to me. I made no errors, paid them promptly with the initial order, but yet had to incur expenses (packing and transport to post office) of the wrong bulbs.Final Business Response Christina PriceTrade Practices ConsultantRevdex.com of Central New England340 Main Street, Suite 802Worcester, MA.
