I am rejecting this response because:
Solar ID has miss represented our interaction with their companyWe never tried to cancel the project in JuneWe tried to cancel it when David asked if we wanted our money back in late JulyTwo days later he wrote us to say we were in violation of the the contractWe then ask to proceed but wanted some questions answeredWe never heard from them again, they never showed on 8-9-with the new installer and never delivered the paneling on 8-16-They never return any calls or emailsOxbow in Stillwater only came to our house once and they said out roof was no problemThey no longer deal with David due to his questionable business practicesWe have a lawsuit pending and the attorney general is looking into our claim

[redacted] and [redacted] originally made contact with Energy ID in September of 2016. On October 6th, 2016, Energy ID sent a proposal to them for a solar system for their house in Isle, Minnesota. Bryan [redacted], a salesperson for Energy ID, delivered the proposal. On February 21st of 2017, [redacted] and...

[redacted] signed a contract to purchase the solar system. On March 6th of 2017, the [redacted] wrote a down payment check to Energy ID in the amount of $6,000. The contract also stated that another $40,580 needed to be paid before the equipment would be ordered. The [redacted] waited until May 5th of 2017 to make that payment. Once that payment had been made, Energy ID went to work to order all of their equipment. The modules for the system were ordered and delivered to our warehouse. The inverters and Tesla batteries were also ordered. At the time the system was sold to the [redacted], we were using Oxbow Sunworks works out of Stillwater Minnesota to do all of our installations. Oxbow Sunworks visited the [redacted] site on two occasions to make sure that everything was in order. The [redacted] purchased a 10 KW system that is to be mounted on the roof of their house. We specified Canadian Solar modules, Fronius inverters, and a Tesla Powerwall battery backup system.. The racking was not ordered at that time because Oxbow Sunworks reported back to us that there was a unique roof design on the house and that amounting mechanism would need to be ordered that clipped to the shingles and did not penetrate the roof structure. This created a dire challenge In a June 5th email, 30 days after the production payment was made, the [redacted] gave us a June 14th deadline to set the install date or they would demand a refund. This is a timeline that was not set forth in the contract, nor was it possible for us to meet. On July 24th, the [redacted] canceled their contract by email. On July 28th 2017 Energy ID notified the [redacted] of their breach of contract. We are currently working with our counsel to figure out what to do with the breach of the contract and what sort of restocking fees may be appropriate. Having said all of this, the [redacted] are the only customers we have had in four years of operation that have been unsatisfied with our performance. Three fundamental issues arose, that were completely out of our control, which caused the short delay in the project: 1. The roof not being able to be penetrated and the subsequent problem with finding acceptable racking. 2. The long delay in Tesla Powerwall delivery. 3. The [redacted] giving us less than 30 days to resolve these issues before wanting to cancel. This is a timeline that is not in our contract, nor was it a feasible timeline. For the reasons above, this project has been a huge challenge to us. Energy ID always prides themselves on having 100% customer satisfaction. We knew that it would be hard at this point to satisfy the [redacted]. It is my opinion, at this time, that it will be best to refund the [redacted] money so that both of us can move on. It is very unfortunate and frustrating for us, that we cannot bring this project to a successful conclusion. I do feel that the rack mounting situation and the availability of the Tesla batteries are completely out of our control. Having said that, we want to do the right thing and refund the [redacted] money. Thank you, David [redacted] - CEO
