Talked to the home owner and the system was installed the next dayThe issue has been resolved
[redacted] System was sold to her on 2/15/16, design and engineering was completed and file was submitted to city. Permit was picked up on 3/2/20216 and installation was completed. Job was inspected on 3/10/2016 and passed, system installed correctly and functioning. She then received PTO...
from Edison on 3/17/16 Her job was sold, and completely installed and PTO'd within 30 days... [redacted]- Called in April 12, 2017 (13 months after PTO) and let us know about the problem with system not producing, We sent our technician [redacted] out there on April 14 and found the inverter not operable. He went through the reset process on the inverter and as well as checked the system before leaving.. The system is ON and it is producing... (See pics below) She then called back in later (4/21/2017) demanding that we pay her bill because her system had not produced any power and she owed something like $2800 to Edison.... I explained to her that I cannot fix anything that we do not know is broken. Told her that she called us and we fixed the problem and made it right within 48hours.. She said thats not good enough that I need to pay for her bill. I told her I cannot do that. After explaining to her how we cannot fix anything that we dont know is broke, she then got pissed off and was cursing and said she would get an attorney, I said that's fine. Do you understand what negligent means?? You have been receiving your bills for 13 months, and you are just telling me that the inverter is not working? Had you told me MONTHS ago, the problem would have been rectified, as it was done NOW when you called. She then got upset again and said she will get an attorney and hung up on me. She then called back again stating she wants my Workers Comp Insurance, Contractors License.. [redacted] the project coordinator sent that to her.... She then called back and said she wants our General Liability info, and I told her that she doesn't need it, I'm not playing your games if you want to call your Attorney DO IT, otherwise communicate with my office through mail or through email... When [redacted] was there he noted a few broken tiles that were M1'd, I told [redacted] that I will order that exact tile and have [redacted] go back and repair the broken tiles. (Even though I dont think we broke them) Just to take care of her. [redacted] has sense complained to Finance Company, Revdex.com, and CSLB. Finance Company closed the case after they realized we went back to the house to check the system and got it working again after she made it known. [redacted] then got upset at them and told them that she did not want my company out at her home. [redacted] with ERC reached out to [redacted] again to try and schedule the replacement of cracked tiles on her roof and [redacted] told us she does not want us at her home to do anything. There is nothing wrong with [redacted] solar panels or her inverter. Her inverter was reset and settings were reinputted in so it is working fine again as the pics show. [redacted] will not allow me to replace the 9 broken tiles that we have pics of when we went out there. Other than that, there is nothing else I can do for her. We unfortunately cannot pay for her bill as she was negligent and did not notify us that her inverter malfunctioned until 13 months later. Had it been right away, we would have taken care of it and this problem would not be at the level it is at now.... That being said, am I going to get another complaint from her again if the inverter has an Arc Fault and needs to be reset?? Maybe she will wait 14 months this time and have a $3000 bill. The point is, unless we know something happened at her home with her inverter, We at ERC cannot do anything.
