Energy Wise Home Improvements Inc. out of Youngstown Ohio. I would honestly advise highly that you get other estimates before ever calling this company. At least you know the competition first. And use extreme caution with any company that requires you to make a decision immediately!
This is my experience with them and my opinion... Note: we did not hire them. My husband and I set an appointment for a free estimate to do an enormous amount of work. We had already experienced interactions with several other contractors and had three complete bids in hand. Now, in the interest of transparency, the job included: siding, soffit, fascia, gutters, downspouts, sliding glass door, deck and porch. The salesman (should’ve been a red flag right there) showed up on time and was polite. He began asking questions about the work and we provided him with detailed blueprints of our house and the measurements to assist in his estimate. It became 100% clear to me that he was more interested in financing the job and was a bit pushy about it, even after I told him we were not interested in financing. As he worked through the estimate he did offer a really nice suggestion about our porch and I may actually use that. By the time he was done he wanted to play games to guess his estimate, so we did. And he giggled and said we were going to kick him out. He was right. When he showed us the cost, it was way over budget. Which was disappointing because he kept telling us about a low price guarantee. He then called his boss and if we put a sign in our yard and allowed them to harass our neighbors for business using our name they would drop the cost. The one thing he asked over and over was what it would take to get us to move forward with them NOW. our reply was ‘nothing, we are ready to start our project tomorrow. But we choose to discuss things in private before pulling the trigger.” At that, he packed up his things. I inquired about his estimate and how long it was good for and he told me if I wanted to work with them to call and set and appointment. The estimate was mute. As soon as he walked out the door we laughed and swore we would never, ever, ever use them or recommend them to anyone. Their game is to get someone to sign with them day one, pull credit and finance day one. They are not serious about bidding for your job. They just want to be the first one to pressure you to sign with them. Shady is my opinion. Every other contractor gave us detailed bids on paper. And they are allowing us time to decide. That’s what I like. Is the understanding that this is a huge decision and not one that you sell based off of your need to pull my credit. Thumbs down rating and we didn’t even hire them. Oh, one more thing, I researched the company before I met with them: I expected this. Also, note that MANY IF NOT ALL 5 star ratings and reviews appear to be by people that WORK FOR THE COMPANY. .

I had windows and siding installed. All done in 1 week from start to finish. Everyone from sales to installers were helpful and polite. I felt the installers treated my house like they lived here.

Would highly recommend Energy Wise to anyone.

Had two front doors replaced, both within 15 feet of each other. Nothing wrong with the actual doors, but, installation was sub-par. After stating to them that the doors must match in size and color, I ended up with doors of two different sizes. Didn't know this until one door was installed and they were installing the other one. The old door had already been removed. I was going to live with this until I realized that adding or removing furniture from the room with the smaller door might be very hard/impossible. Smaller door was scratched where door knobs were added, deck was scratched, glass in driveway. After speaking with management, no satisfaction was arrived upon. They listened, then nothing. I'm not happy with different sized doors.

This Company is FAST !!! replaced all the windows in one day. Did everything they Promised. Great Job Guys !! We will be back in the fall for more work. A+

Great company to do business with. The only problem we had was clean up was a little sloppy. But they came right back and cleaned it up. Employees were very professional.

We started with Energy Wise almost 1 year ago, had problems from the very beginning. Never started their work on day of stated contract, didn't have enough supplies to do the job when starting,said the weather was conflicting; however if they had the supplies in warehouse as stated, there were jobs that they could have done, but the truth was...they didn't have said supplies. Then in with our order was to be 3 doors put in place, they came with only one, but no keys to match the locks. The second door came and was to have a "pet" door in place...it didn't. When the 3rd door came, the person who put it in place, didn't put it in correctly; another call another door; and more time to fix. Had problems with their roofing job, saufet and fascia job and still having problems with the front outside entry way ceiling, it is bowing. They set up dates to be here and never show,nor out of consideration, do they call to say they're not coming. I will never refer them to anyone nor will I ever use there service again. What was to be 2 new roofs(home and garage) new saufet and fascia for both buildings along with 3 new doors, costing thousands of dollars, now has become all "repair" jobs.

Months since products installed, they've been back 4-5 times to fix one little thing at a time instead of doing it all at once. As of today the work still isn't complete and I anticipate problems in the future. Workmanship is bad, service is bad, owner is rude, and they are very sneaky and manipulative. There have been so many issues I couldn't begin to list them all. I will never finance a project or pay in advance for anything again. Painful, stressful lesson.
