Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: they are full of it we made an appointment for 12noon till 2pm he never showed ,or called to make another apptwe paid $dollars for the door with installationi dont care what his [redacted] is as far as I am consered it was not installed propleythats why I had to go to some one else to correct the installationenergy wise should hav installed correctly in the first place may I suggest the Revdex.com check to see from other people in the bussines that corcking around the inside or outside of the door frame is part of proper installationthank you [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

I have attached instructions from both [redacted] and [redacted] containing their instructions for installing storm doors Both companies DO NOT use caulk when installing storm doors We maintain that our installation policy is consistent with industry standards

We were completely unaware that this customer was having any unresolved issues. There was a problem shorty after the original installation in 2007, which we addressed. It was our understanding that the issue was resolved at
that time as Mr*** did not inform us to the contrary at any time. There was no contact from *** *** after that service was performed until (2013) when we were made aware of a sash he needed. Recently, we replaced the sash for failed glass. There was no charge for the sash which is under warranty and the only charge to *** *** was $ plus tax for labor. A labor charge of only $ is reasonable for a window that is years old
However, if *** *** states there is a problem now, we do want to address it. We contacted him this morning (3/21/14) and left a voice mail message informing him that we would like to go to his home this weekend, if convenient for him. I will continue to reach out to him daily and will advise Revdex.com if contact has been made and what results from our in home evaluation of his concerns

prior to the customer filing this complaint, we did go to there home on a Saturday morning.  They were not home, although they were expecting us.  We were there at 8:30 in the morning.  I believe they thought we were coming later than that.  Recently we called to reschedule and...

were told that there was no need for us to come because the village they live in had caulked around the door and they were satisfied.  caulking around a storm door is not routine for a storm door installation.  Possibly the draft was from another area.  A storm door cannot eliminate drafts.  Any draft coming through an entry door would have to be evaluated by examining the entry door or areas around it.  A    storm door is not designed to give the same amount of draft protection  as a prime door or an insulated surrounding wall.
Therefor, we stand by our position that our installation was not the cause of any draft and do not feel it is appropriate for the homeowner to request a refund of the storm door installation when the draft would have been from something else.

I am rejecting this response because:   regurading the storm door installation. Energy Wise should know better that not all installations are the same.All I know is I contraced them to install the door propley and they failed to live up to their end of the contract. after hearing excuse after excuse I got peeved and had another contracter fix the problems with the door they made ajustments and corked all around the frame of the door to cover the gaps because it called for it.not because [redacted] says its not nessary.not all door ways are square. energy wise ilstaller should have knowen better. I am tired of hearing E.Ws excuses. the made no attempts to correct their installation only excuses.

Review: we had a storm door replaced by energy wise. The door was not properly installed.It rained and the door leaked. The old door never leaked, and he told us it needed a new drip rail and it was not his responsibility to fix it, We had it fixed on our own. This last winter the door was very drafty,we did not notice it last winter because the weather was milder.We called to complain a few times and he made an appointment to come and see it and never showed up or called to address the problem. We were ignored. Our adminstrative office called them and they lied and were very rude.We had it fixed,hopefully this will solve the problem because door was not installed properly to begin with. As a settlement, we would like the installation part of the door cost refunded to us. Thank you .Desired Settlement: We would like the installation cost of the door refunded to us.the contract did not show a seperate price for installation only a 220.00 dollar deposit and a 400.00 dollar balance due upon insallation. a total of 620.00 installed. at the forms request I had to put a dollar amount. so because I have no idea of the cost to install the door. I put the amount of my deposit.

Had some windows done.Frank told me he would be by one night to pick up paperwork for front door and never showed up. I waited and waited and tried calling number he had left on card. Never called back. Called his office and never got a call back. MONTHS later I called and got him and asked why he never came back. He said he forgot. He said he would call me back the following Friday and never did. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He is unreliable and untrustworthy.

Review: Windows that have failed and lack of support from the owner [redacted]. We have had to have multople windows replaced already at our expense. The owner is non responsive along with the installer. I am still having leaking issues and seal breakage issues with these windows. I want a cash refund back to me. The business does not hold up to there promises. The windows are supposedly good with a lifetime warranty. The owner says its the installers fault and no one has taken action. Please help me.Desired Settlement: I am very upset with Energy Wise Window Systems. and the owner. They are a company that does not stand by their product or warranty. The windows may look good but they leak and the seals crack. I want the full contract price of my windows refunded back to me. The company has not made any resolution with me concerning my leaking front bow window. They keep kicking it back and forth between the installer and Energy Wise. I am very upset with this company and would not make any reccommendations to any family or friends. I my money back or all new windows at no cost to me.
