Initial Business Response /* (4001, 18, 2015/04/07) */
The customer did purchase the radiator.
In his complaint, he said he was unhappy with the quality of our product. Yet, he decided to keep the radiator and install it in his vehicle anyway.
The first radiator [redacted] returned was...

destroyed because of radiator electrolysis. This is usually the culprit of poor vehicle maintenance or high mileage vehicles. Our warranty specifically does not cover electrolysis damage to the radiator. Yet, we still warrantied the radiator for him anyway. We told him about the electrolysis, yet it fell on deaf ears.
The reason [redacted] had to purchased our radiator in the first place is because the radiator he had in the vehicle failed, likely due to electrolysis. The cycle will continue of destroying radiators until [redacted] addresses the underlying issue.
[redacted] returned the second radiator to claiming that it leaked (at our expense of shipping both ways). We tested it and it did not leak. We believe [redacted] is trying to 'cherry pick' our product and have us send one that is aesthetically perfect to his liking.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 21, 2015/04/08) */
I kept the radiator because the company did not offer any other options, such as a refund (like I had originally requested the first time I called). They kept insisting that they could not issue a refund and could only send a replacement. I work in customer service and know that exceptions can always be made if a customer is truly unsatisfied.
I am aware of radiator electrolysis and this is not the case in my car. This car is maintained on a regular basis. The first radiator that was installed ended up leaking due to a poor weld job done by ECP, not from the car or installation. At the time of the installation of the first radiator, I had no other vehicles to drive to work so uninstalling it and waiting for a replacement was NOT an option. This company continued to refuse to work with me and could not simply provide a refund for their poor quality product.
I find it hard to believe that the 2nd returned radiator was tested for a leak. I can provide pictures of the poor weld job that was the cause of the leak. Besides having to install and uninstall a total of 3 radiators from this company, it cost me a great amount of wasted time and frustration with the quality (or lack thereof) of the products provided by this company.
